Affordable Nintendo goodness
Excellent for the price. Works well. Cartridges are difficult to remove, but for the money I paid I don't care.

Better than original
So far been awesome. Better than the original. I have both and this plays the games much easier

Best controllers for the NES, I like them better than originals. If I could I'd give it 4.5 stars.
4.5 out of 5. For $19.99 you can't beat this little NES clone. It comes with 2 of the best feeling controllers possible for NES and this coming from a guy who grew up loving the originals. The dpad and buttons all feel like the originals if not better and the rounded top just makes it more comfortable for long gaming sessions especially. I like the red lit up N logo on the front that's a nice touch and it plays castlevania III and multicarts as well. I have pictures show comparing the original nes, another clone, and the classiq N as well as their controllers for comparison. I think the audio on the classiq N has the other clone beat. It's particularly better with Mario's jumps sounding almost if not spot on to the original. The other clone Mario's jumps just sound dull no change in tone much as he elevates in his jump. The other clone does have a better coin sound and when Mario hits the flag pole the countdown sounds better on the other so audio preference can be debated which is better. This system does have separate right and left audio out jacks which puts it ahead of the other clone which just has one but then again so does the original NES. This just saves from having to use a Y audio splitter to get sound out of both speakers albeit the same sound coming out each since true stereo not supported by the NES. The image looks a little better to my eyes on this classiq N with vertical lines not as noticeable as the other or as noticeable as the original NES top loader either. I actually have this console hooked up in my bedroom now for my NES gaming sessions to a 32" CRT television which is where these shine. If you hooking up to a modern tv with HDMI I suggest getting the more expensive 720p hdmi output model which I have the other brand clone in my living room with hdmi and it looks amazing but old skool offers this option as well with console that looks like this one but the N lights up different colors and it has a 16:9 to 4:3 button but I have not tried that version out yet. My gamerztek 8-bit HD does not have the aspect ratio button and tv has no setting to change hdmi to 4:3 so image is stretched wider than normal but looks good anyways on my 47" hdtv but still button would be nice. The HD version of this is $39.99 vs $29.99 for the gamerztek so significant price difference there just comes down to if it's really important to play in 4:3 ratio to shell out $10 more for. I feel the build quality is better on the classiq N though and the cartridge connector has a shroud around it just like the original nes top loader but other brand does no and you can see the motherboard but again no big deal on the functionality.Reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is nothing is perfect especially in the world of clones. If I could give it a 4.5 out of 5 I would because really no faults with this other than slight vertical bars & the av jacks on the back feel less than sturdy when plugging in cables so you better be careful there. I suggest using the ones it comes with because they plug in fairly easily but if you use other ones that's tighter I feel it would break the solder joints on the board. Old skool needs to address this it would be easily done with a bracket molded into the plastic even that don't allow the av jacks to move so much. I'm easy on stuff so I probably won't have any issue myself but I've heard others complain about it possibly becoming an issue but honestly how many times do you play on unplugging the cables anyways? All in all with the right price tag and the 2 best controllers I feel you can't go wrong.

TAKES ME BACK!
The media could not be loaded. This console is awesome! The video and sound quality are outstanding for the money, and every bit as good as I remember! In fact, given the improved picture quality of my modern TV, this is far better than anything I remember from the 80’sThe cartridge I used gave me some trouble, but hitting reset a few times straightened it right out.The console itself seems well made. It is very lightweight. It uses Nintendo style controller ports so I think original controllers would work. However, the ones supplied seem great!Someone else mentioned that more modern multi-game cartridges don’t work on these modern knock-offs. But I’m sticking with classic Nintendo games so it seems this was a great choice!

Same problems with this as the original Nintendo system, except this was new and not 40 years old

Great for One-Player
Easy setup. Everything worked great, except we could never get the two-player function to work no matter what we did. One-player worked great, but we ended up sending it back and getting a system that works equally as well AND allows for two players.

A substitute for the original Nes
It is incredible with this small console you can do, it comes with everything to start, two controls, the power supply, 3-color video cable for an affordable price for everyone, running two games Different now, if there comes a time when the console does not work, it is most likely the cartridge if it is original due to the wear of the copper pins that the original cartridge First clean the cartridge and try it if it doesn't work, there are very good alternatives on the internet that other Amazon buyers have shared Finally give this little console a chance
