I was looking for something that would stop the noise of utensils clanking in the kitchen from reaching my room. These earplugs work perfectly! Now no more noise from the kitchen and surrounding sounds are also muffled. It's a great utility item for people who are highly sensitive to various kinds of sounds. The material is soft and these earplugs can be used multiple times. Very happy with the purchase.

Used it for the first time and liked it. Serves the purpose. I used it while sleeping. It cancels all the outside noises and lets you sleep peacefully without disturbance.It could have been a bit sturdy though.

I love these earplugs. Thanks to these I can sleep with my window open, or my bedroom door open and not be disturbed by early morning noises outside/inside the house. An absolute must-have if you are in the same situation.The only problem is they become all soft and useless after about two weeks of usage, give or take a few days. So, technically yes, they are reusable, but only to some extent. Been using them for 4 months, and I'm already on my 6th pair. Tried my best to reuse each one as much as I could, but after two weeks they become so soft that they decompress immediately, so you can't fit them in your ear.Not sure about the purpose of the cord provided with each pair, but it just leads to me pulling them out of my ears while sleeping, so I snip the cord and make them wireless :DThe noise cancellation is excellent, so long as you're not hearing truck horns 10 feet away or something - for mild to medium background noises, these work pretty well (fan noise, ambulance siren in the distance, someone washing dishes a little further away, or your neighborhood mosque's morning prayers - it can cut out these sounds well enough for me).Be warned - you'll need to turn your alarm volume all the way up, and still might not wake up. I'm sensitive to my alarm sound so I'm able to wake up at max volume - your mileage may vary.Will probably still buy more once I get through the first pack. Happy with the purchase.

Provided you get a good deal/price on Amazon(since the price fluctuates quite a bit) its a value proposition. Well worth the money.The isolation depends on a good seal so deep insertion is required for best results. With the proper seal its very good.Roll the earplugs between your fingertips to squeeze the memory foam, insert quickly and hold since the memory foam takes a second or two expand and grip the inside of your ear canal.When properly inserted the earplugs should not stick out. If they are roll them again and insert it deep and hold for maximum efficacy.When an ear plug seals at the entry of the ear canal, it creates a volume of trapped air between the entrance and ear drum. Because the first half of the ear canal is fleshy it can vibrate with mechanical input—like with foot-falls or chewing on something crunchy. As the ear canal vibrates it slightly changes shape, and with changing shape its volume changes slightly, which causes the ear drum to move in and out to compensate for the changes in air pressure with volume change. This is called the occlusion effect, and it is why you hear your voice louder when you plug up your ears.With a deep insertion having an earplug that seals at the bony section, you don't have as much change in ear canal shape with vibration resulting in a significant decrease to the occlusion effect. There does remain some sound that gets to the ear through bone conduction, but there's nothing you can do about that short of clamping your skull in a vice.Bottom line: With these 3M earplugs deep insertion gets you the lowest noise floor and highest isolation possible.Background noises fade away considerably and are barely audible, you have to focus hard to hear them and yet you can have a conversation with someone sitting next to you or in the same room without the other person having to raise their voice or you having to strain your hearing.Quality memory foam so the same earplug can be used multiple times provided you have clean ears and minimal wax buildup. The firmness of the foam goes down a bit after the first use but it essentially stays the same thereafter. Comfort is excellent.Cons: The wire rope thing conducts noise(microphonics) when it brushes against anything which is annoying and a bit jarring. Solution, cut the rope only leaving an inch or two connected to either earplug to help in removing the earplug and enjoy the silence.

Good for meditation, to study in quite in a crowdy noisy place. To get a good sleep. Main reason to buy this because sandeep maheshwari sir some where in session said do meditation using this so I purchased and works well.
