I’m surprised older movies like this are still available in new condition! I bought this bc I didn’t want to buy ANOTHER streaming service. Arrived perfectly, still wrapped up and played fine. Movie itself was a great watch too, just wish it was longer. Also, wanted to note that the price was a steal!

Brothers is definitely a very good movie. It's realistic, raw, emotional and dramatic. The music is perfect, the acting phenomenal, and everything about it rings honest and true. This film teaches you that it doesn't matter if you're a soldier or a teacher or a child. You're a human being and trauma can affect you in extreme and painful ways, and you're usually not the only one to feel the effects of it. War is brutal, mental illness is brutal, and memories can bring you tears and anger at any moment.When all you have is family or friends, hold on to them and let them in. Just because those people were not with you during your trauma doesn't mean they can't support you and offer you comfort in your time of need. Shutting up and shutting everyone out is often the worst thing you can do. It's alright; you can get through this, just as you will get through other bad times in the future. If you feel fear, then it means you're taking a chance and that is the only real way to start healing.Brothers is a beautiful film and I couldn't take my eyes off it. I love Natalie Portman in this, and the actor who plays her daughter Lucy (Bailee Madison), is fantastic. I just saw her as a teenager in the horror movie Strangers: Prey at Night. Anyway, this is a dramatic movie I believe many people can relate to. I've never fought in the war but I can still relate and you might too. Great movie, absolutely worth a watch or two.

Honestly, I'd say go buy the thing online. If you love movies and are a collector go for it. My case came a little bit broken. The clippy thingies on the case were okay, like the top clicker thing worked but the bottom was broken.

Wow. AMAZING acting!I don't really watch many movies without having any critical judgment regarding the acting, story, or direction.... something! It's rare for me to have totally rave reviews. That being said...I've always liked the people in this film, especially Natalie Portman, but they really blew my mind in this movie. Wonderful direction, writing and story. It was touching and even the children wowed me with their acting. The whole thing was overwhelming. I watched it twice in the 24 hours, the second time with my mom because I knew she'd like it.POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT: (I can't remember the trailer now, because it's been a few months. I don't think I'm going to give away any spoilers, but please take note before reading on, just in case. Thanks)They advertise it as a thriller about jealousy, but it's actually a brutally honest and sad story about veterans and their families. I have no experience with having lost family to war, but this was really about that. Natalie Portman was especially amazing because she didn't overdo the grieving. It would have been so easy for an actress to ham up this role, but she was so subtle, it was very effective and realistic. The relationship between the family members was complex and deep; there was nothing about this movie that I would have thought needed changing.I want to stress that I had watched this movie thinking that it was about a crazy guy who was jealous after being presumed dead, as they show in the trailers. But it is really about the war, family, and pulling through the most tragic of circumstances. It made an enormous statement about the way that our vets are treated when they come home, and the difficulties they face in reaching out for help.

What a great movie and a fantastic cast. Every time that I thought I knew what was about to happen, it turned and went a different route. Excellent movie.
