Pretty much the same in darkness to the Staedtler, I can't tell a difference.Apsara Absolute slightly larger diameter, so nice to hold; I guess that makes them stronger too.Slightly smoother in writing and much better for shading; there is a noticeable difference here.The pencil sharpener does sharpen to a very slightly longer point than my regular sharpener, works well and collects the shavings (didn't know I was getting this type, pleasantly surprised). The eraser is on the other end of the sharpener with a cap on it: handy.Overall a very good value set of pencils, as I said not darker than a regular HB but slightly smoother or softer, and there was no breaking even with a long sharp point. I reckon they are a B pencil grade if you're curious about that.

The pencils are exactly as described – incredibly dark, smooth, and don’t fade easily. My son absolutely loves using them for writing and sketching. The quality is excellent.

Value for money and exactly as described. Comfortable to hold and use. Dark colour as described and performs as expected. Would recommend and buy again. You get a lot for your money.

It's a pencil with 6 sides. The last time I checked, 6 sides did not equal a triangle so if you are buying this pencil to assist a child in improving their handwriting, it's not what you are looking for. It's a pencil. The led is a good colour and I'd reckon a medium led. You get a bolder line when pressing a little harder and a thin light line when using a lighter pressure. The sharpener lid pops out easily so take care to always hold it in place or you'll end up like I did with all the shavings over my computer and desk. The eraser doesn't completely make the writing disappear so I wouldn't recommend you rely on that one alone.All in all, 2 points for the led and that it's a pencil you can use, otherwise this was a disappointing purchase for me and didn't meet my requirements.
