Excellent NAS for everybody
I've built my own NAS using systems like TrueNAS, and while the synology is not as powerful in terms of hardware (especially for the cost), what separates Synology from the rest is DSM. It makes the complex world of data storage easier for people of all technical abilities. This model with 5x four TB hard drives reached about 14 TB of usable space once redundancy was enabled. Happily, all the hardware checks good, and I'm happily transferring Terrabytes of data to this unit. I just wish it came with at least a single 2.5gb ethernet, but the option to upgrade to 10gb ethernet is there. I recommend this 👍
