No more pooping outside the box!
The media could not be loaded. I’ve had my SmellyCat for about 14 years now. For the last 5 years or so I’ve had a roll-to-clean litterbox. Handle on the side, disengage, roll the barrel, same principal as this litterbox without the electricity or sensors. I switched to crystal litter trying to find a way to squelch my cat’s putrid piles and stop the litter being tracked everywhere. The crystals helped with the doodoo smell, but didn’t clump her urine. The cat-pee saturated crystals just sifted back into the box, accumulating. And stinking. Properly cleaning the cat box meant changing out the crystals completely because any newly added crystals get mixed in with the urine soaked crystals. Ugh.I thought I was doing a pretty good job of cleaning her box, but one day I came in to find she’d dropped a shadooby outside the box. She did it again the next day. And the next day. Pooping near the litterbox became her new hobby. I got tired of hand-picking cat tootsie rolls off the floor every day and started breaking down cardboard from packages & putting them in the floor. That manual litterbox became exclusively for urine. I bought a 2nd manual litterbox thinking maybe my newly crowned princess needed a separate poop station. She pooped in front of that one, too.My cousin told me about this self-cleaning litterbox. She bought one from her daughter-in-law after it didn’t work for her cat (I guess this thing isn’t a miracle for everyone, sadly). My cousin raved about it. She told me the features of the app, like cat weight, # of visits, I thought that was pretty cool because my cat is super invasive when I’m on the toilet (aka “Petting Chair”) so why shouldn’t I be the same??I went to Amazon to check the details & reviews and it was on sale! I ordered immediately.Arrived in a reasonable amount of time (not 2 days, more like 5, I think). Easy setup, albeit bulky. Finagle the thing out of the humongous box, find the directions & follow. I had to flip it over and give light pressure from the top to get one leg to finally “click” in place. Make sure the inner cylinder is seated properly so as not to block the entrance or misalign the dump, add clumping litter, plug it in and you’re set. It’s well made and sits solid on the floor. The washable interior mat was already installed, even though installing it is a step in the instructions. Also, the clips that hold the curved lid on the base don’t seat very deep so I knock it askew any time I move the litterbox (it’s in a room that’s being redone), but that doesn’t affect function. Now I will admit I thought the app would notify me to litterbox activity. It does not, so I didn’t realize when my cat started using the box. Now that I’ve had the box for a few weeks I will tell you that feature isn’t necessary. I can track her activity and details in the app, there’s no reason for me to need to know as it’s happening. I just have to remember to check the app now & then.🙃 I left all the app settings (delay, light) to factory and it works great like that.I was pleased as punch when I checked the app and saw activity. I went to the box and checked the drawer…there were clumps!Smelly continued pooping on the floor but had taken to urinating in the new litterbox immediately. One day I was switching out the cardboard-floor-toilet and Smelly was watching me. I dumped the terds in the new box and ran a manual cycle. She was quite intrigued. The next day she only pooped on the cardboard once (she’s a 2 pewp a day girl). I dumped the shadooby in the automatic box and this time I just left it there. The next day there were NO pewps on the cardboard! None! None the next day either! Or the next day! Smelly stopped pewping on the floor and started pewping in her fancy schmancy self cleaning litterbox! Now that life has returned to all the potty going where it belongs, I only have to clean the catch pan once a week when I collect the garbage before trash day. I top off the clumping litter then, too.I’m super thrilled that I don’t have to have someone come clean her litterbox anymore when we go on an extended vacation but above all… MY CAT STOPPED POOPING ON THE FLOOR! Also, I can tell you I don’t even smell when my cat goes #2 anymore, and she used to stink up our entire 1,500sq ft. house.I love this litterbox so much!I’ve noticed a couple of times where a terd flipped onto a smooth surface and stuck (see video) or left a skidmark during the self clean (my cat does not bury her shame so clumping happens during the self clean). I just grab an antibacterial wipe, clean it off and toss the wipe in the catch bin.Our litterbox is in a spare room across from our primary bedroom, I’ve never heard it run so I would say it operates very quiet. If you’ve ever considered a self cleaning litterbox, this one will not disappoint. (Well, unless you have a cat like my cousin’s daughter-in-law.) I’m glad these are becoming more affordable because while this gadget is extremely convenient, I think they would be especially great for an elderly person or someone with mobility issues or arthritis who has enough love for a cat but isn’t capable of the daily maintenance.Get one of these wonderful litter boxes. Your only regret will be that you didn’t buy one sooner.

Great when it works-updated
***Update: I had this for about 3 months now. I was finally able to resolve the issue below by basically taking the drum out and putting it back several times and running the reset. Idk what worked but eventually it was fixed. I really really love this box but the app needs so much work. I’d like to be able to switch to lbs and id like for it to show her weight over time. This just shows the last recorded. Overall it’s cute and makes my life so much better. I have been using the Arm & Hammer Slide, which I hate because of the smell and dust but it works well in here. I’m currently switching back to the olive pit litter and that seems to be going well. My cat has huge anxiety and I wasn’t sure if she would even use this box but so far so good. I have it timed to clean 10 minutes after she uses it so she doesn’t associate the scary noise with her going in it. Still taking one star off for the crappy appThis thing is amazing until it isn’t. The manual isn’t helpful, there is no customer service, and the app is horrid. So much potential here and now I’m stuck with a giant, malfunctioning, hunk of plastic. I have no idea what’s not right- it just keep spinning and spinning til it finally stops in the wrong position. I get a red light and the app tells me it malfunctioned but gives me no indication of how to fix it

Non scooping cat Mom
I purchased on a whim because I'm tired of scooping cat boxes. I have 3 cats . I was initially looking at other automatic litter boxes but came upon this one. The price was great!!. I bought it during Amazon's flash sales 50% off . YAY ME ..LOLAnyway, so far, so good!. My cats took to it IMMEDIATELY...it's super super quiet, easy to assemble ( took 2 minutes) , app is also nice & easy to understand, although I'm still trying to figure out how to set it for each cat. It weighs your cat every time they enter box, it tells you how much time they spent in the box . You can set the app to clean it manually or set it for different durations to clean automatically. This thing is bigger than a normal litter box too so make sure you have room . I set mine up in a corner . It's also nice looking. I'll come back here if I need to change my review but so far, so good . I LOVE IT & I think my cats do too.Oh & you can use any kind of clumping litter.

Easy to put it together!
Easy to put it together. Plugged it in and it registered onto my WiFi easily! Just entered the password. Did a quick test run and that was it. Emmett was curious about the litter box but didn’t use it all day till late at night, I think he wasn’t totally sure of it, just yet. The urge to use it had to be greater than the scary factor. You have to set up when you want it to dump the waste I put it at 10 minutes after he used it. Otherwise I can smell the waste. After the it rotates and returns to its position, it doesn’t quite return the litter to the leveled position. But it does a good enough job where Emmett can use it again. It’s quiet enough but Emmett runs when he hears it start the cleaning process. It’s pretty exciting to him to see it work. It does get all the big clumps of urine out but not all the poop, unless it’s clumped together. But so far I’m happy I don’t have to shovel out the litter box anymore. No more litter shovels or baggies! It doesn’t use a lot of litter either! Just enough to cover the litter vinyl pan. Any more than that it would probably dump out the litter too.Right now Emmett has always used the pine pellets great clumping and almost no tracking, the slots are big enough to have the pellets sift through. We might try a different litter just to see what works best for this litter box. I would recommend. It doesn’t use what it’s supposed to. And you will never have to scoop or buy those poop bags anymore.

Great Product
I have had this for a few months now. It works great. I love how easy it is to clean and works perfectly so far. I only have 1 cat so I dont have to clean very often. maybe once a week. big opening and the anti pinch feature is great. It stops immediately if it senses movement.
