Effective Radiant Heater
If you expect a blower and a stream of hot air flowing over you, this isn't the one for you. This is radiant heating, and it takes a while to warm an area, but it works very nicely, is quiet and I used it happily all winter in my basement and garage. Very light and easy to move from place to place. And the remote makes it easy to operate from a distance. Good product.

Ballu Mica Infrared Space Heater Review: A Cozy and Efficient Choice for Small Spaces
If you're looking for a space heater that’s smart, efficient, well built, and brings cozy warmth without drying out the air? The Ballu Mica Infrared Space Heater is a standout option, especially for small rooms like home offices, nurseries, or as a supplement to your main heating system. You can seamlessly control the temperature from anywhere—whether you’re relaxing on the couch, working from your desk, or even away from home. Unlike some clunky heating apps that can feel limited or frustrating, the Ballu app works smoothly and as advertised, giving you full control over your comfort with ease. The heat output from the Ballu is refreshingly different from conventional space heaters. Rather than blasting hot, dry, it provides a gentle, radiant warmth that feels cozy and natural. This makes it ideal for people sensitive to dry environments, ensuring a more pleasant indoor atmosphere. While the heater does a solid job warming up spaces, it truly excels in smaller rooms. In areas like small home offices or nurseries, the Ballu heater performs efficiently and effectively. For larger rooms, however, it can take a bit longer to reach the desired warmth compared to traditional convection heaters with blowers. While it does have some great safety features like tip over and over heating protections. I would be cautious around small children and pets as the front of the unit does become extremely hot during a heating cycle. If you’re looking to reduce your heating bills, this heater could work wonderfully as an auxiliary heating source. Pairing it with your central heating system it can help you save on energy costs without sacrificing comfort in the rooms you use most.Although I ultimately returned the product because it wasn’t the perfect fit for my larger room needs, I was impressed with its performance. If you have a small space to heat or need a backup heater for chilly nights, the Ballu Mica Infrared Space Heater is an excellent investment.

Heater and Seller = Exceptional! GREAT!
The heater is excellent, modern, and works exceptionally well! The seller is FANTASTIC. My original heater developed an issue with the control panel on the unit. The app still worked very well - the remote worked flawlessly. I shared some insight on my challenge with the control panel. Within hours, the seller contacted me to see how they could help. They immediately agreed it was a random flaw and, within a few days, they sent me a replacement. The seller is the definition of "proactive" and trustworthy. I highly recommend the heater and the seller! For three months my rating was five stars - awesome! I installed on wall near where my mom sits when she visits. It keeps her perfectly warm and comfortable. Sadly, after three months using around 60 minutes daily, the control panel on the unit stopped responding. I’ve reset the unit per instructions - nothing. I can still control using the app and remote. But, the main control panel is vital - it’s what my senior mother can easily grasp. It’s a safety issue (panel not working). My dog bumped a pillow off the sofa and pushed it to the heater. The thick fabric pillow case began smoking. The heater had been on for 35 minutes at 70 degrees. Totally my fault not seeing the pillow being moved. Yet, being unable to immediately hit the off button - scary. I had to nervously search for my phone and remote.Had the control panel not died - this heater would’ve been five stars.

Thermometer and App issues
Ballu Mica Infrared Space Heater Several issues with the Smart Life app: 1) Does not show the ambient temp when the heater is off. This is just basic and a real oversight. Of course you want the ambient temp to show regardless of the unit being on or off. 2) Why the note in the app: “Algorithm temp (not room temp)” ? Too clever by half- just give us the actual temperature at the sensor, we don't need an 'algorithm' This is just dumb - trying to be smart. Not impressed. 3) Inaccurate thermometer!!! To test, I put two other thermometers (which both agree with each other) next to the Ballu sensor but the Ballu sensor is 5 to 7 degrees F off. For a 200$ unit, one should expect an accurate thermometer. If this has something to do with the 'algorithm' then all I can say is - seriously? wtf. That said, unit heats well and looks good.
