Perfect
The GoveeLife Composter has been a great addition for me. I probably use it a bit differently than most. I live in an apartment, and I used to bag my leftovers in grocery store plastic bags before tossing them—but since bags cost 10 cents in my city, I rarely have any on hand. That meant food waste would end up in my regular trash, making it smell bad and forcing me to take it out when the bag was only half full. Now, I store my leftovers in a bin, and when it’s full, I dump it into the composter. After it's done, I can throw the result in the trash without any bad odors in my home. I usually run the composter at night. It does produce a smell—nothing terrible, but it’s noticeable. However, if I close my bedroom door, I don’t smell anything while I sleep. The smell doesn’t linger once the process is finished. It's simple to use whether with the App or just using the touch buttons. Cleaning it has also been simple just hot water or it can be put inside the dishwasher. Quality is awesome and the look of it is the best. I caught a very good sale on it so the value for me was perfect.

Fantastic! Use it daily
Bought this for my parents as a gift for Christmas and they love it. Follow the directions on what to add and it works amazing. Do not put already started compost materials in it. It will smell very bad. It handles me at scraps fine, but don't let it sit in the hopper for days, run daily. Vegetable and coffee ground waste can sit in it for awhile and still produce little to no smell. Makes a fine dirt like compost in just a few hours!

So psyched about this!
I absolutely love this brand, and finding this composter felt like fate! It’s been on my wishlist forever, and it did not disappoint. The design is sleek and modern, fitting nicely into any kitchen without looking out of place. The lid latches securely, giving me peace of mind about odors and mess.I’ve used the composter twice so far and keep my scraps in the storage mode until I have enough to run a full cycle. Odor control has been excellent—aside from a faint hint from the carbon filter, I haven’t noticed any smells. The companion app makes operation much easier. While you can set modes directly on the device, I’ve found switching modes without the app a bit tricky. Running the composting cycle twice on my first batch gave perfect results; the material was slightly damp after the first cycle but dried beautifully after the second.Overall, this composter has exceeded my expectations, making food waste management easy, efficient, and odor-free.

LOVED IT, BUT NO LONGER.
This is the THIRD review that I've written on this product. The first two were glowing reviews!! I was SO happy with it, until it STOPPED WORKING. THEN, looking on youtube as what might be the issue, I found a guy who did experiments..2- regarding the finished product and if and how it helped plants grow better. WELL,,,,, it HAMPERED the growth of the plants NOT helped. A BIG RIP OFF PEOPLE, ALL THE WAY AROUND. But....they did give me a full refund. Rather a waste of time and hurt the seedlings I used in the finished product.

I'M IN GREEN LOVE 💚💚
The media could not be loaded. I just got this yesterday and I'm already on batch #2!! I read about a smell but the only smell I've noticed is the waste smelling like it's cooking, not that bad because the stuff I put in there wasn't putrid or rancid. I ran it overnight and never heard a sound, during any of the cycles. Now, it is a little larger than i expected but the counter I have it on is big enough for a large sink and my dishwasher is under the counter where the composter is. Was easy enough to make room for it, especially since I knew it would be worth it. Super easy setup too. I have a small piece of property with herbs, fruit trees, and a small greenhouse. I would HIGHLY recommend this for anyone who wants to have fertilizer on hand or just wants to reduce their impact in the landfills, even if you don't need the fertilizer. Gift it to someone who can use it, I'll give my excess to my mom.

Not a true composter, but in hindsight none of these are
I will say that all of the Govee products I own are top notch. I have done some product testing on their items as well directly through Govee. They make quality items and this item checks every box for quality, ease of use, app integration, etc. I’ll give the pros and cons below.Pros:• Is super quiet and you can run it while you sleep.• The filter filters out the majority of the odors that may come from the process.• The cost is relatively low for such a high quality machine.• Breaks down the material well and has the ability to track the mass you’ve put into it along with the remains once it is done.• The clean cycle is super easy and honestly if it didn’t tell me to do that after each load I might not even do it because the basin is extremely nonstick and super easy to hand wash.Cons:This is not technically a composter. It dries/dehydrates the scraps and leaves you with about half of a sandwich baggie of flakes at the end, however, the nutrient value if you planned to use this in a garden bed is extremely low compared to what you start with.I tested the PH, Nitrogen, Potassium, and Phosphorus of the final product once it was finished running. My first batch contained chicken trimmings, red onion with peel, tomato, avocado peels and a leftover avo half, some left over old cheese, half a bag of chopped romaine lettuce, 5 old carrots, and about a half cup of leftover taco meat doused in chili powders and cayenne. The PH was low at a 4 out of 9. Which is surprising because everything in the machine has a neutral ph level to start. The Nitrogen was almost nonexistent at 10 out of 500The Potassium was 20 out of 240Finally, the phosphorus was at 10 out of 240.In conclusion I am not keeping it as it serves no purpose by stripping the nutrients out of the food during the process and I weighed the difference of keeping it for saving space in my trash but I don’t feel it would have any benefit to me as it is not actually a “composter”, all it does is break down the food and dehydrate it through heat.Three stars for build quality at the very least.
