An upgrade from I3 mega S printer!
The media could not be loaded. I recently upgraded to the Qidi X-Plus 3D Printer from the Anycubic i3 Mega S, and I have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. This printer has brought my 3D printing experience to a whole new level, and I'd like to share my thoughts on it.**Pros:**1. **Exceptional Customer Support:** Qidi's customer support is top-notch. I encountered some issues after changing the nozzle, but their support team consistently responded to my emails within 24 hours or less. They not only addressed my concerns but also provided me with the necessary settings to get back to printing smoothly.2. **Blazing Fast Printing:** Compared to my old 3D printer (Mega S), the Qidi X-Plus is an absolute speed demon. It's approximately 2-3x times faster, allowing me to complete prints in a fraction of the time. 1.5 hour prints, now completed under 35-40 minutes!3. **Auto Bed Leveling:** The auto bed leveling feature is a game-changer, making the initial setup and calibration process a breeze. It ensures that prints adhere to the build plate perfectly, reducing the chances of failed prints.4. **User-Friendly Klipper:** Klipper firmware on this printer is incredibly easy to use, especially when compared to my Mega S. It simplifies the printing process and provides a smoother experience.5. **Sturdy Construction:** Despite being primarily made of plastic where required, the Qidi X-Plus still feels massive and robust. This gives me confidence in its durability over the long term.**Cons:**1. **Size and Weight:** One notable drawback is the printer's size and weight. It's quite massive, and it took two people to move and unbox it safely. Make sure you have the space and assistance needed for installation.2. **Filament Holder Location:** The filament holder is positioned at the back of the printer, which can be a bit inconvenient, especially if space is limited.3. **USB Port Placement:** The USB port is located at the back on top, making it somewhat challenging to access. It could have been more conveniently placed for easier connectivity.4. **Initial Extruder Issue:** Upon arrival, one of the extruders didn't work, which was disappointing. However, the company promptly resolved the issue by sending a replacement via DPD the next day.5. **Price:** The Qidi X-Plus comes at a higher price point compared to your previous Mega S printer, which might be a concern for some buyers. However, the enhanced features and performance justify the investment.6. **Lack of Nozzle Change Instructions:** I had trouble finding clear instructions on how to change the nozzle on the X-Plus 3. It would be helpful if the manufacturer provided more detailed guidance in this regard.7. **Slicer Information:** While the printer uses PrusaSlicer, there is limited documentation available. If you're new to this slicer and have previously used Cura, you might need to do some additional research or watch tutorials online to get the hang of it.In summary, the Qidi X-Plus 3D Printer is a powerful and efficient machine that offers incredible speed and reliability. While it comes with a few minor drawbacks, its exceptional customer support and overall performance make it a worthwhile investment for 3D printing enthusiasts looking to take their projects to the next level.

Excellent Printer, Excellent Customer Service
I purchased this printer on the back of watching numerous review videos online and the Amazon reviews here. The printer came in heavy duty packaging without issue. The box is absolutely massive but easy to handle. The printer itself was an absolute doddle to set up, the touchscreen even walks you through it step by step.Once set up I completed an in built test "benchy" print and wow! It printed in 15 mins and looked very good. I then went on to print some parts for a statue that I had started a while ago on a different printer and the results were so much quicker to print and of very good quality. I particularly like that it has a filament sensor, this worked great and paused the print so that I could purge the remaining filament and replace the spool, the print then carried on like nothing had happened.I did have some issues along the way, I had some banding, which I fixed by tightening the upper belt to match the resistance of the lower. I also played around with the z offset by printing a 2 layer high sheet the same size as the build plate and then adjusting the offset on screen to account for the overall bed level. One other issue, that was totally my own fault was that I pressed home whilst the metal build surface was out of the printer, the printer did not like this and proceeded to smash the build plate into the nozzle repeatedly, causing a large hole in the magnetic sheet.I reached out to QIDI as at first I had no idea what I had done wrong and they explained right away that the build surface must be in the printer before operating any of the auto home functions or printing as the sensors in the hot end need to have sight of the metal build surface. They sent me a replacement magnetic sheet very quickly and at no extra cost, which was obviously very kind of them and I believe shows the great level of customer service they are providing.I would not hesitate to recommend this printer or the company.

It's an exceptional printer
What can I say. Delivered well packed. I plugged it in and followed the instructions for calibration, all of which is touch a button stuff. I then set the z offset. Downloaded Qidi Studio slicer, I use Linuxmint, they have a version for that.I did a Benchy test print, then a Terminator skull, both printed perfectly, this printer is 'fast'.Then it was on to the reason I bought the printer, RC models. Amazing results, super quality. Initially I used a USB stick as I couldn't get the wireless to work. However, Qidi Tech answered all of my queries very quickly, provided pdf's and a video, and I then realised that I was doing one step incorrectly. The wireless printing is now flawless.I cannot fault the printer, and tech support is the best in the business. I would recommend a Qidi X Plus 4 to anyone. It's fast, high quality, the prints are stunning, and easy to set up.
