Soldering Practice Kit - 6 Digit Desk Calculator & Resistor Resistance Reader DIY Project Kit

I really enjoyed this kit. It went together relatively easy and worked on the first try. On top of that it's a project I'll actually get some practical use out of.

Would like to know purpose of USB port. Charge battery?

QR code only without website loses a star. Easy to build kit, the chip and socket have a half moon marking that matches the IC chip and layout, this is standard, so looking at directions alone are fine if you have built before. Somehow I went from lots of calculators to none over the years. Would much rather reach for one than use my phone/computer. I only used the top and bottom acrylic on mine, much easier. Be very careful tightening the screws, loose with a dab of crazy glue works for me...

this was fun to do but has incredibly complex inner workings. It works pretty great.

I got this kit so that I would have an extra soldering project to have fun with and because my mother said she needed a calculator and her birthday was coming up. She loves it. The whole thing came together easily and even a beginner could figure out what to do in this kit easily. I recomnmend if you are just getting into soldering and need some practice or just want a fun project that will be useful in the end.

Ordered for son to practice soldering. Worked as expected. No issues.

Bought for my 10 year old grandson. Was reasonable to assemble and works nicely. We won’t use the resister value calculator, but it is interesting.
