Easy to use, great value

Having to calibrate it EVERY time is a hassle, but that's my bad for not reading the notes on the sale page. Disappointed that there are no instructions in the box, because I had to come back here to ensure I was using it properly. I'd far rather have had printed instructions. If only I had read the information here, I may have made a different choice.

I bought this item to find the studs to put a TV bracket on the wall for my mum, who will be spending a lot of time in bed recovering from a major hip operation, how wrong could I be. This is by far The most USELESS thing I have ever bought on Amazon, I am now left with 6 holes in my wall, all down to this useless TRASH. Amazon needs to start taking some form of responsibility for the rubbish that they allow people to sell on here. Please DO NOT buy this item. It's cheaper to flush your money down the toilet.

This really helped me install some kitchen cabinets and cooker hood. Easy to use and it definitely works. I ran it over where I know some electrical wires were and it started beeping as I ran it over them. I don't understand the negative reviews as this thing worked like a charm for me. Very happy.

I wish I'd seen the notice that "this item is returned frequently" instead of going buy the 4.5* rating from over 600 reviews. This thing either detects electric current in everything, or detects nothing. May as well ask my cat to check for wiring, and my cat can't be trusted to even wire a plug

It's usable but very fiddly. It looks like it's way too sensitive. E.g. finding live wires, it does find them but also produces a ton of false positives, i.e. detecting wires where there are none. Even after calibration (and re-calibrating every half minute) it produces an unacceptable level of false positives. There are entire square metres of walls or ceiling where it (wrongly) says that there are wires everywhere, with maximum signal strength.

Works well and correctly identifies if there are items like, beams, wires etc.Never have to worry to accidentally drill into something unwanted. Would recommend
