QUALITY
I like gadgets and technology and although I hesitated, I am very satisfied. Works great and easy functions. Did have an issue with the wrong charge cable (included), however I e-mailed customer service and they quickly responded and sent the correct to me. The battery life is kind of poor if your watching video's, I keep it plugged in for this reason. The pre installed apps are nice. Good product.

DOES NOT WORK AFTER 90 DAYS.
Another Update - this player has totally stopped working after 3 months - past the return date. I have had to reset it several times before now as when I turn it on, there are a few foreign characters at the top of the screen and it will not allow you to do anything. Finding any instructions is difficult. I did finally find out how to reset it, but now it won't even turn on. I feel like I wasted this money.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I like the player itself, so far. I've only had it one day. All I really want it to do is play Pandora. The sound quality appears to be good, but I have not tried it hooked up to a receiver - will do that tomorrow. Not yet sure about the battery and will also update that again later.PROS: Small, lightweight, has an audio jackCONS: There are no real instructions. Pandora keeps telling me it needs permissions to run in the background and there is no way to get rid of the message every time I start Pandora - what is says on the screen is not an option in the settings. It came with the incorrect charging cable..

Great MP3 player for my kid
My daughter uses this for music and audiobooks since she doesn't have those apps on her phone. It works as expected. The battery doesn't last long, but I didn't expect it to based on the specs. Bluetooth works for ear buds and has decent range. We especially like how much she can download to the device to use when out of wi-fi range. It gets the exact job done for what we need. I wish I could get a case for it, but I haven't been able to find one.

Bluetooth sucks
Bluetooth blows. I got it specifically to play my music in my car instead of my phone. Bluetooth signal is always getting blocked and dropping after a few seconds of playing a track. None of my other devices do this the signal stays connected and uninterrupted. Not this device. Have to regress into using an aux cable. I give it three stars cause that issue really made this purchase almost insignificant. My pods do just fine and don't disconnect but for some reason it doesn't work right with my car's Bluetooth. I saw other people complain about the battery but although it isn't the best it's not that bad. It does lose charge rather quickly but you'll just have to keep it charged often. The sounds is good. I have no complaints on it. Even the internal speaker is ok. People were complaining but for what it is its good enough. I like that it's rather small not too bulky and the interface is like playing with android phone. I like the back side of it doesn't feel entirely cheap like others claim. Overall it's a good product for what you're spending but that Bluetooth just kills this device's performance and that's a disappointment. 3 stars.

Okay product, wonderful customer service
This MP3 player is okay for what I intended. To be a pocket-size audiobook library and on-the-very-fast-go ebook reader. However, the first device I received had a very bad battery, and it could not hold a charge for more than 12 hours. Just sitting in my bag during my work day it lost 47% of a full charge doing absolutely nothing, not even background sync or updates because it was not tethered to any wifi at the time.I was very disappointed and honestly afraid I was stuck with sending it back via Amazon and waiting for a refund to try something new. However, I reached out to Nine's customer service (contact email is in the user guide) and was very surprised to have gotten not only prompt replies but total understanding of the situation and immediate replacement of the device. The agent I worked with was very kind and handled things wonderfully. The new device is much much better but I think in general the battery life on these little guys can be easily stressed. The replacement definitely will last all day and then some, but the battery struggles and drains very fast if I power it on and begin to use apps. This is not a problem for me, because all if I just let it rest as it boots (about 5 minutes) it's business as usual.I have noticed that it will randomly turn off but I am not sure if that is a sleep function to preserve the battery so I'm not detracting for that just yet.Nine does not make cases for this model yet, unfortunately. Don't bother looking, I experimented so you don't have to. If you need a case, get the one for the 4-inch Innosis MP3 player. It does not fit perfectly but it fits well enough to do it's job.TLDR: this is a fine MP3 player for a small pocket reader, if you absolutely must be able to access the Google Play Store for additional apps. Let it rest when you power it on or the battery will begin to drain very fast. A sleep function (probably) powers it down so don't panic if it seems to randomly shut off. Nine does not have a case for it yet, use the 4-inch Innosis case.

Good customer service
I bought two of these MP3 players for my kids. One of them quit working within a day or two. I emailed customer service using the email address that came with the packaging and after a couple troubleshooting attempts they had a new unit in the mail the next day. The new unit has no problems.Overall these seems good for listening to music and some other simple apps. User interface is intuitive. Very easy for the kids to figure out. My kids have tried using some more complex apps but this little unit doesn't have a fast enough processor for some apps. Best to stick with music.
