When purchasing this, you'll need to get the download file via their website. There's a folder and once downloaded and unzipped you'll find the folder featuring the auto install. It's not as easy as the description, but I found their CUSTOMER SERVICE TO BE EXCELLENT. Post a question regarding installation and they're quick to respond. Once I was up and running, I was able to scan nearly 2,000 documents in an afternoon. NOT KIDDING! I had two years' worth of financial records to upload and was dreading using a standard scanner. It is portable, stable, and a great value for the money. You can slow the scanning speed down or up and therefore increasing the quality of the scan. I just needed some quick scans and I was scanning front and back pages in 3 seconds per page. SO GLAD I FOUND THIS!

my cheap HP printer/scanner scans images well enough, for most of my purposes...i bought this unit purely on the off-chance that the OCR could recognize my (poorly) hand-printed notes...it can't...but// it was able to recognize black-on-white type...so the OCR may work for you, if you're working with 'clean' text...(tip: you must scan to .jpg format for the OCR to work...)for the price, this is a pretty decent scanner...having OCR recognize my handprinting was always a long shot (i'm trying voice-to-text software tools now, since i can at least read my own notes...mostly...)

I love that it's portable and scans in high definition. So far no problems and has made my online classes a breeze. So far I have only used it through USB, but it does come with diverse multiconnectivity. It's super versatile and has worked flawlessly with my windows computer. Definitely made a great choice with this purchase.

I have received the product. It looks nice and the quality is also very good. It is a good choice for people who need to work from home. Especially when the printer does not have a scanning function.
