I needed to replace several worn-out bread knives as none can cope with my homemade sourdough loaves! This isn't to say the loaves are rubbish - just the knives. This Paudin breadknife is a lovely-looking piece of kit that is exceptionally well-balanced and finished to a high standard. It's very sharp and thankfully comes with a protective sheath which is essential when the knife is being stored in a drawer. I'm very impressed with the quality of this product and am already looking at the Paudin range to replace other well-worn knives. It's not cheap - but it's certainly worth the investment and slices through my sourdough with ease.

Very sharp when it arrived but is now starting to loose it's edge this after only being used on meat and bread and in less than one month.Will need a new edge put on it on a regular basis if it is to maintain it's effectiveness.

I’ve been wanting a decent carving knife for so long then bit the bullet and brought this one.What a luxury cutting through the meat joints with such ease and comfort, so ergonomically good in the hand.Worth every penny I paid, well they do say you get what you pay for and this knife is pure quality.

Good strong knife cuts easily even through hard crusty loaves

We need a new carving knife, and I dithered between a proper knife or an electric version. We went for the Paudin in the end, because it seemed to be good quality and had pretty good reviews. My husband has just used it for the first time, and has commented multiple times on how sharp (aka effective) it is.He had even said that he's not sure I should be let loose with it, as I have a track record of finger slicing with a variety of implements!Hopefully it will remain sharp, and give us many years of Sunday roasts, carved to perfection!We have decided to hand wash it, and retain the storage box it came in, but it does have a protective sleeve for the blade, should you wish to add it to your knife drawer.
