Best Keyboard I have used so far
I noticed that many reviews mention receiving this product for free—that's not the case for me. I first came across this keyboard at Best Buy and was immediately impressed by how it felt to type on. The typing experience is smooth, and the sound is satisfying without being overly loud. As someone who enjoys RGB lighting, I appreciate its brightness, which works perfectly even in well-lit rooms. I use this keyboard daily as a software engineer and have tested quite a few keyboards over the years. If you're on the fence about whether this is worth it, I can confidently say it absolutely is.

Beautiful... but flawed
First let's talk about what is great about this keyboard. It's beautiful. The keys feel amazing. They sound amazing. It has two separate and assignable rollers. By default, the left one controls the volume and the right one controls the brightness of the lights. It does not slide all over the desk like a lot of keyboards. It's heavy and feels great. Aesthetically, it's nearly perfect. Now for the "meh". I do not like the media controls being on the left side of the keyboard but that is just my preference so I cannot say everyone will feel the same. I would prefer they be on the right above all the specialty keys and arrow keys where they would be out of the way. They are right behind the escape key and that is super annoying when you're going fast and try to hit the escape key, miss, and end up hitting the stop button. They should clearly just be on the right away from the most-used keys. There are lights all the way around the outside of the keyboard housing and there are lights behind each key. However, they appear to be at different brightness levels. The ones on the outside of the keyboard are considerably brighter than the keys. Therefore, in order to legibly view the keys, you have to turn the keyboard brightness up so bright that the outside ring is too bright and annoying. There should be a way to either turn the outer ring off or control its brightness separately from the keys' brightness level. Now for the terrible. The Nexus software that is basically REQUIRED to use the keyboard... is horrific and is the primary reason I am returning this keyboard. I don't want the lights to be flashing but I do want a solid color so I can see the keys in a dark room. The software "glitches" every few minutes and turns the brightness all the way to 100%. This is a common/known problem and can be found on Reddit. Hyte does not appear to care as they have not addressed this issue and it was reported a long time ago. The Nexus software also takes up a considerable amount of CPU usage which is, well, just plain stupid. If you pick a solid color, that information should be sent to the keyboard and then no other software needs to be running at all on the PC to which it is attached. Poor poor software. The nail in the coffin is that there are no lights anywhere across the top of the keyboard to indicate that caps lock is on or off, scroll lock is on or off, and so on. When you press the caps lock button, the letters on that key change their color to white. This is completely pointless because YOU CANNOT SEE THE CAPS LOCK KEY WHILE YOU ARE TYPING BECAUSE YOUR HAND BLOCKS THE KEY!!! Very bad design. There is nothing wrong with putting indicator lights across the top where there is TON of space for them.IF the software didn't completely suck, I would probably keep the keyboard. But as it stands, it's like buying something that is just broken and "dealing with it".If Hyte addresses these issues in the future, I definitely would buy the modified version of this keyboard.

Keyboard works fine, however it was missing the rest of its items.
Ordered this keyboard for my wife. Opened up packaging from undamaged amazon box and the product packaging was damaged inside the plastic seal. Opened up the keyboard box and went through everything and all we found was the keyboard and packaging list. Internal packaging was also damaged. USB C cable and USB C to 2x Type-A Adapter were both missing from package. Used a USB C cable we had lying around and keyboard seems to be working fine.

LOVE the keys!!
Pros:The keys are super smooth to type on and sound fantastic although I wouldn't use it in an office.I was quite surprised at how sturdy it is considering it is made of plastic. The build quality is strong and the keys themselves don't wiggle. I personally hate it when keys wiggle on some keyboards. The LEDs look great! They are all around and super nice to look it. They are also super customizable.Cons:You are required to use their software to utilize all the features. This isn't that big a deal for me but I can imagine it being a deal breaker for some others. The positioning of the media keys feel slightly weird in that it kind of replaces where I'm used to the escape key being. its not that big a deal either but slightly annoying as I get adjusted to it.Overall a great keyboard! Will update as I use it longer if I notice anything else.
