Best Starter!!!
I struggled for 4 weeks to get a starter going from scratch. I was so frustrated. This starter was amazing! I opened the packet, followed the instructions and it instantly worked. I was able to bake with the first rise! (I couldn't wait!) It makes a great starter and sourdough bread! There is a great amount of starter to get going!

Most Resilient Starter I‘ve Had
This is the most resilient sourdough starter I‘ve had. As of my review, I‘ve had nine strong months with this starter. I‘ve used it to make sourdough bread, pizza crusts, pancakes, waffles, tortilla-adjacent leavened bread (I don’t know what to call them, but they hold up amazingly), and all other kinds of bread.I‘ve refrigerated this starter more times than I can count. I‘ve went weeks without feedings because of laziness. I‘ve went days without feedings even while it was outside the refrigerator.I am treating it better nowadays. I always make sure to feed it right after using to replenish what I‘ve lost, and it usually rises within 1-2 hours.I love it. It’s the first starter that’s ever survived my utter nonsense.

Worthless..do not buy this product!
Don't waste your money. Absolutely no activation after almost 13 hours! Dead and flat. Mixed with spring water and King Arthurr Bread flour. Sat on counter 8 hrs and then on top of warm fridge another 5 hours. I had better activation just doing my own starter, as at least I got it to rise! Money down the drain it was.

Able to bake after one feeding
This starter was so easy to use. One feeding and I was able to make bread! The bread turned out amazing and wasn’t as dense as others.

Best starter I’ve found I’ve been through three brands finally found an amazing one n my aunt came over n washed my starter jar so now I have to order again !!but so worth it !

Didn’t notice different instructions for rye flour
Please note there are different instructions of using rye flour. I didn’t realize that until I followed the directions for using regular flour and it didn’t turn out well. So I tried again with regular flower and I’m not sure if it worked.

Worked great!
I started baking sourdough for the first time ever at the beginning of the year. I wanted to fast track my starter, so I purchased this sourdough starter culture.I followed the directions before going to bed, and started my sourdough in the morning. My first loaf turned out great! I've made 1-2 loaves a week since January 1st, and haven't had any issues with my starter.It's been such a hit that my husband stopped buying bread at the store, and my sister keeps asking me to make her a loaf.Who knew sourdough could be so easy?! 😀

Off to a very slow start...
I started it yesterday with the intention of baking today. But after 20 hours (78 degrees) it had only grown about 15%. After 28 hours it has now finally doubled. It may be fine, but not as speedy as advertised. Maybe I can use it tomorrow.
