makes for great travel board for adults too who like an old school feel and look
I don't write product reviews very often, but I wanted to share a review on this because I actually bought it for myself to have an old school board and one that can go easily in my carry-on. it is marketed towards kids and beginners, but actually this design is how many boards were made; small and narrow. It's quick, agile, but also sturdy and responsive. it is a great board overall that I, as a middle age adult skater who recently got back into skating a few years ago purchased to have an old school (think 70s Dogtown era) board. its the same size and shape as a penny board, but has a stiffer more stable ride. I changed out the trucks and put a set of trucks from an actual penny board on it, with a set of Powell Peralta 56mm 90d wheels, and it rides incredible smooth ! So easy to control and fits in my bag for easy carry-on travel ! A nice bonus too is it does have a nice look to it, it really looks like a mini surfboard . this is definitely a great board for any age or ability level while also being a great option for a good travel cruiser. honestly can't beat the price either, after i use it for a few months and see how it holds up over time and with my plane trips I might order a second one in the future-time to have as a spare and have a different truck/wheel set up. :-)

Solid colorful skate board
My thing is Roller Rink skating so I ride on a pair of Riedell racing skates and am very familiar with the rolling world. I ordered this skate board for the grandkids. This is a well constructed skateboard that looks and feels pretty solid. The trucks are nylon versus metal so they will be less susceptible to corrosion from riding through puddles. The wheels are wide and grippy. Two issues were mentioned in other reviews. First is that the board comes protected with plastic film that was put on the board before the trucks were installed. To get it off the board you have to actually take the trucks off because the film is under the trucks, peel off the film, and put the trucks back on. Second, is that the listing states the wheels light up. I have seen lighted wheels at the roller rink but the wheels on this board do not light up. That is a disappointment but not a reason to not like the skate board.

Great skateboard but can't get the wheels to light up
Before I got this skateboard, I knew nothing about skateboards, trucks, or bushings. So, I read up on what makes a good skateboard before I wrote my Review. The first thing to look for is the quality of the wood on the skateboard deck. Most skateboards are made of layers of wood, usually either maple or bamboo. A good skateboard will be light but durable and flexible. This model from EASYGO is made of “engineered wood” – as are many wood products today. I’m not sure if engineered wood is the best material for a skateboard, but it’s a kid’s board - and not something that Tony Hawk will be using in competition. But the board material seems solid to me.Second, a good skateboard has quality wheels. The wheels on this are large and appear to be made of polyurethane which are, per my cursory research, a good material for wheels.Third, you need quality “trucks.” Trucks are the two T-shaped parts found under the deck that attach to the wheels. The Amazon page says this skateboard comes with 3.5” skateboard trucks that are rugged and durable. They seem so to me.Fourth, you need good “bushings” which are the rubbery things that attach to the main part of the board – there is an upper and lower bushing (I think they’re yellow in the Amazon photo). These are usually made of polyurethane and help to determine how easy it is to pivot and turn on your board. The bushings on the EASYGO appear to be polyurethane or some type of hard plastic. Unfortunately, the product description doesn’t provide all the details of materials. Once again, however, it’s a kid’s skateboard & not intended for professionals. The product does seem well built to me. The board has a good grip for the kids to hang on and to easily maneuver around on the cement. The parts underneath (i.e. trucks and bushings) also look fine to me. The top of the deck is completely covered with “grip bumps” for good control of the skateboard by the kid.The kids really like the color. The teal and orange colors with a small splash of black and white make the board very cool. The colors are embedded into the wood which makes the graphics scratch free and, I assume, longer lasting. The large wheels seem to make it easy for the smaller kids to pivot and maneuver on the board. As beginners, they’re still not very good at it but I figure that’s what a kid’s skateboard is for – to learn and to develop motor skills. If I didn’t get all the details exactly right about skateboards, excuse me as I am still learning, just as the kids are learning how to ride it. They expend a lot of energy and seem to have a lot of fun (and sleep a lot better after all that exercise!). ALWAYS make sure they’re using safety helmets! The only disappointment we’ve had is that we just can’t get the wheels to light up. Other reviews say they do, so maybe we’ll stumble on the solution. If we figure it out, I’ll update this Review.Overall, I think this is a pretty good kid’s skateboard. The price seems reasonable compared to other boards of this quality. The kids have had a lot of fun with it so far - and it sure burns up a lot of energy.
