A very practical solution. Ideal for front or back door, also ideal in front of the kitchen sink. Non-slip latex backing keeps this mat in place. 24 x 72 inches.

It makes an attractive yoga mat cover! But needs waxing/conditioning.
This is actually pretty well made. No splinters, seems solid, and with a non-slip bottom. It's the exact width of a yoga mat, and a few inches longer on the ends. So I've found I can leave my yoga mat on the floor, roll this out on top of it, and I get both a cushy bamboo runner, as well as street-shoe protection for my mat, which I tend to leave unrolled, ready for use.One thing I'd advise is to seal it, because the bamboo is not coated with anything. I picked up a bottle of Method liquid "wood for good" furniture polish, and gave it a liberal application. The bamboo drank it right up. It was like seasoning a cutting board. Now it will resist dirt better.BTW, it rolls up nicely and compactly.

Nice Mats
I bought this for a different purpose - We had a beach wedding and used three of these bamboo mats as a covering for the center aisle on the beach. They look really nice and worked out perfectly for that purpose. They were affordable enough to get three. The sand came off real easily. After I cleaned them off, they're rolled up and and will use them in the house in the future but haven't done so yet.

This mat works for me ...
I haven't been very lucky with non-amazon vendors, but this time I got what I was expecting. It's a nice bamboo mat with a light non-slip backing. It seems well made. It's getting steady use as I placed it along a kitchen counter in front of the sink.I would buy from this vendor again.------------------The enclosed packing slip says:Care Instruction: Simply wipe clean the surface w/damp cloth and wipe dry to avoid water marks. Do NOT immerse in water.Due to the fact that bamboo is a natural fiber, you may notice variations in the coloring of the individual bamboo strips. This is normal. The mat is intended for indoor use only. The mat has a non slip backing and measure 72"longX24"wide.Made in China

Meh
I bought this mat years ago and it looked like the image pictured that shows the entire mat. I purchased it again the other day and it is a completely different bamboo mat.The original mat purchased has a nice finish that is easy to clean and durable. The most recent mat received is nothing more than some twigs tied and glued together and is impossible to clean. It looks cheap, it is cheap, and I regret falling prey to thinking that I would receive the same item.Don't bother.

Nice to have if you have to lie or sit on the ground to work on anything
I likely use this item a bit differently than most. I use this when I have to get down on the ground and look under my RV. It keeps my clothing cleaner and avoids my lying on rocks or in the mud. It dries quickly and rolls up into a neat small package that doesn't take up much room.

Not good for kitchens
I loved the idea of this but it really does not work for a kitchen. It shows every speck of dirt and being in front of a sink, stove and fridge it is always dirty. Mopping does not work for cleaning and it says do not submerge in water so I spay a rag with cleaner, rub it down, turn on the shower and run it under really quick, run though the house and hang outside and it last for about a week. It is nice and would be good in a hall, etc.

Good Floor Mat
Very nice: comfy underfoot and big enough to provide coverage for the kitchen floor. One drawback is that it tends to roll up or move in such a way I may catch my foot on it; this is a concern as I need a cane to get around now (bad knees). It can be a trip hazard. I'm going to look for some kind of gripper pad or something like that to put on the leading edge for more stability.

I wish I bought this years ago
As I said above, "I wish I would of bought this years ago". I paid so much money on kitchen rugs that looked wonderful, but, I dropped apple juice, wine, and spaghetti sauce on so many of them (if you a new mother, you can understand).I ended up throwing out so many of those wonderful rugs/mats, I gave up and nothing but tiling on the floor. Then, I remembered that when I was living in Honolulu, I used to have bamboo on my lanai. Many people aren't aware that bamboo mats are both indoor and outdoor material. Also, bamboo is fireproof. I'm starting to sound like a bamboo saleslady...Anyway, I bought this mat for my kitchen and it works perfectly--It's pretty and functional at the same time.Note: I would really recommend that future buyers use a good wax spray on it before-hand in order to prevent stains.[...]Much Aloha,RL Miles
