worth the money vs other options
had this for a few days, and i'm all in. much better than the cheaper one i'd been using for the past 2 years that finally broke.this thing is solid and well engineered. the top is very smooth and slick, so as some people have reported, things can slide off. the 'lip' that holds your laptop is spring loaded and made of grippy rubber. It does do a pretty decent job of grabbing the laptop. now if your laptop happens to have some anti-skid 'feet' (my chromebook does), the combination of those and the lip will hold your laptop really well. i can lift and move this around and the laptop goes with it, no sliding around.it's very sturdy. it will wobble a little bit side to side because the mechanism for raising it just has a little give. Not that it will break - it's solidly constructed. but if you were using a drawing pad, it might be a problem. for typing i don't even notice it.the sweetest part is the raising/lowering mechanism: you just lift up on the tabs on each side and it's spring loaded so you can open or collapse it, change height at will. no worries about it collapsing unexpectedly like the cheaper ones that use gravity to hold it.the little space underneath (when opened) is big enough for a wireless mouse. or could slide your lunch plate/bowl under there (on the highest level). It has 5 levels (plus flat). at the top is is much higher than the cheap angled ones, definitely line of sight, head up, easier on your neck.the base is fully padded, not over padded, nice durable material. sits very solidly on your lap.so for a few extra $ i highly recommend this one. wish i'd bought this one two years ago.

Totally adjustable. Totally comfortable!
This laptop stand is perfect for working on your actual lap! It's nicely padded so that it is comfortable on the legs, although it does seem a bit warm in this heatwave we are experiencing. It is mostly made of plastic (which keeps it quite light weight). However, the mechanism that raises and tilts the computer to a comfortable position is made of metal and feels very substantial. I don't notice much "wiggle" at all. It's quite sturdy! It fits my 16" HP laptop perfectly...there is less than an inch on each side of the stand that sticks out beyond the laptop. Although I haven't used it yet with a mouse, there is a very nice mouse pad built in to the unit. When my new mouse arrives, I'm sure I will love the textured, slightly rubbery-feeling mouse pad. All in all....great purchase, in my opinion.

A must for laptop users
I've had this for 6 months now and I love this thing. I work on my laptop on the sofa and I've tried other laptop desks, pillows, etc. and nothing really worked to keep my laptop comfortably elevated and stable. This offers several height levels and even though I change the levels multiple times per hour the mechanism still functions smoothly. Another plus is that it collapses fairly flat to store away when not needed. Of course, you can also use it on a desk, table, etc. but for chair or sofa workers it's the best. If it broke tomorrow I'd still buy it again. Highly recommended.

It works, but pricey.
Works as expected. Price could be better.

Best adjustable tilt lap table
Recently, I had a cerival neck fusion, encompassing most of the cervical spine. As an avid reader, I found that my enjoyment was curtailed as the neck brace and the fusion precluded me from bending my neck forward. However, this adjustable tilt lap table has allowed me to continue to read and work on my computer. The base of the table has a bean bag configuration which allows for the table to fit comfortably on my lap. The base of the table has a hard surface so that one may use a mouse. The height and tilt capacity is perfect, allowing for the user to view the computer sceen without having to bend their neck. Additionally, the table has a support at the front of the table to secure a book. The table has adjustments on either side that easily open, allowing for easy heigh adjustment. Hence, for those who have strength issues, this table provides easy adjustment. At the rear of the table, there is a recessed area to place an ipad or iphone. It is easy to clean and is made with high quality high density plastic, yet is lightweight. This is the third adjustable lap table that I have tried and I'm so glad that its features allows me to continue to read, work on my computer as well as paint.

Functionality and stability are wonderful
I’ve purchased many lap desks for my laptop over the years. This design is the best, by far. The pillow on the bottom is comfortable and adaptable. The stand enables me to keep my worktop stable, and adjusts to multiple angles to make your tasks easier.

I do not like the rubber piece that keeps laptop from falling off. too flimsy. the rest of it is good

Just Right!
After several trials and errors... this one turned out to be perfect. No more neck strain. Sturdy, adjustable. Perfect size... and it folds and locks for storage. Try it... you'll like it too.
