The good, the bad and the rest
My daughter isn't the best driver. Especially backing up. I think she's hit most of the trees near the drive way and we live on a wooded lot. Fortunately it's only ever been stationary inanimate objects she hits. The primary area that has been abused is the review mirrors. Thankfully the glass isn't broken, but the caps are pitiful. Her 2009 Honda Fit is a dark purple so I chose to spray paint these with a black plastic paint. I did clean it off with a wipe of acetone first, not sure if it was necessary though. Better safe than sorry is my motto. The paint took very well and it's just a flat matte that blends with the rest of the black details. The quality seems fine and is a perfect fit. I don't expect it will hold up to the next time she runs into a tree, but for now at least it looks better than it did. Who knows, maybe these will get lucky. Hope springs eternal.Peace
