Best bang for the buck
I have a mechanical background in metal fabrication from building everything from elevators to boat propellers. Let me start off by saying this stand is so well built, you could drop it 50 feet and it would be just fine. No flimsy anything here pal. It received 4 stars because I feel it could use a tilt adjustment where steering wheel pole meets the base pipe on floor. Not a deal breaker because this could become a weak point if it was adjustable and if this is the case then I'm sorry for keeping the star.First thing I did was place a thin piece of plywood under it because of carpet. 2'x3'x3/8" worked for me. 2'x5'x3/8" if you want the chair on the plywood. I have installed Logitech G920 and Thrustmaster TX with the pro pedals. Fanatec V3 pedal are currently installed and they are awesome. All pedals required drilling the mounting plate so get used to the idea. I did all mine on a milk crate with a 1/2" drill. Splitting the driving wheel support pole perfectly between gas and brake pedal is key to comfort. When you get it right, you actually start leaning your leg into the pole to brace yourself. Its a good thing then. Get it wrong and you will not find comfort.COMFORT:Every time I thought I had it dialed in I was back adjusting this or that. When it first got here, I thought the main pole everything hooked to may be to short. I had seat adjusted right to end of it. I now have 10"s extra protruding out.So far I have been able to adjust this rig for comfort every time. The knob you tighten to hold pedal mounting plate at angle must be wrenched on with at least 50-60lbs of torque. Adjustable jaw plyers are your friend for this.I like this stand a lot. Its built like a tank. Removing the pedal bracket is fast once you do it a couple times. Every connection point is so strong. I would value this stand at $500 or more in just steel and labor with no profit. I do not know how they are making these so inexpensively? I'm seriously considering getting another one just to get another shifter bracket assembly. I could mount it on that 10" of extra pipe and actually put my shifter on it. Using original as keyboard holder right now.I'm 5' 11" and could easily see this working for 6' 6" and beyond.

Finally a Stand I can use in my Home Office
This stand is the answer to my problems. It allows me to use my Home Office and have a solid platform for my racing simulator. As a bonus I can easily fold this up and push it into my closet and out of the way. Build and finish on this stand are fantastic. No sharp edges, paint is perfect, welds are nice and all needed items were in the box, including rubber mats for the platforms and rubber spacers for ensuring a tight fit. This stand fits my Thrustmaster wheel and has room to mount 2 THR8 shifters so I don't need to undo things if I am changing racing styles. My only 2 cons, and these aren't complaints are: First, you need to remove castors to use this and replace them if you need to use the chair regularly. Second, would like a mounting location for a button box or SLI. Both of these were resolved with DIY solutions but I might have purchased accessories if they were available.

Good entry level cockpit - Bang for buck? We'll see..
So two and a half months in..Honestly works well as intended. Nothing has broke, I have had a few screws loosen up that needed tightening. No real concerns with build quality. Overall happy with purchase.Staying 4 stars because I have completely ditched the shifter mount. When adjusted to a usable setting it is very difficult getting in and out of this rig, maybe this would be different if not slide under my desk but I don't think so. And the play of it is to me unacceptable.Overall worth the money and would purchase again. Great if you are dipping your toe into Sim racing, however if you decide to get more serious about it, you will want to upgrade to full cockpit as I do.My nephew is gonna love this thing when I upgrade to something else :)::original review::First impression:Packed well, no damage or scratches.Super easy to put together, took longer to adjust but im particular. Some of the welding is beautiful, some looks bad and incomplete to where I question if it will hold up to the test of time.Overall finish of paint is very nice.It feels surprisingly sturdy, there is some play/flex but its minimal and for me not noticable during game play. That said there is one exception...The entire shifter mounting system, overall its either a poor design or undergaged material. Essentially its a giant lever hanging off the the side and moves quite a bit. But, if your not slamming gears like youre in a honda i think youll be ok.Center bar for steering column makes heel toe a bit on the challenging side, but is doable, just not ideal. To future buyers using Logitech g29 w/shifter:You will need/want 10 M6x1.00 x 20mm screws with washers, and i recommend some blue thread locker.I will update review in a few weeks, but all in all this is 1million times better than pedals on the floor and wheel clamped to desk. Well worth the money compaired to sim chassis.

It's more form than function
I had purchased for my friend's son a racing simulator stand that looks more like the traditional desk with base for pedals. I wanted to get something for myself and saw this set up. It looked great and I could see the adjustable nature which really got me excited.Well once I got it, I went to work and assembled it. Here's the problem, it shifts, a lot. Think like being on one of those old roller coaster rides made out of wood from back in the day. You hold each position in place mainly by screws that you tighten directly into piping. I thought that would be fine, but once I started racing...I started moving and we aren't talking about on screen. It's a beautiful stand and one of the pros is I was able to use my DX Racer chair with it. At the end of the day though I wouldn't recommend this unless you truly loved the appeal and weigh less than 100lbs. Great for my friends younger 12 yr old. I'd say if you have a young kid then by all means pick this up.
