Not really a curing salt
This isn't a curing salt, it's just salt with colouring (including e120: CRUSHED BEETLES)No nitrites, so the meat does not turn pink (apart from the coloured bit on the outside from the crushed beetles). Bacon turned out just like grey salty pork (no bacon-like flavour) and the salt beef turned out grey too, not pink and cured like it should be.I'll stick to Prague powder I think.
