This did exactly what I needed it to do. It showed me the code and issue and allowed me to clear it (once I confirmed that the code was minor). It was extremely easy to use.

I hadn't used one of these in a while, and this was the first I bought and I was way impressed. LOTSA functionality, works on car voltage, easy to use, INDISPENSIBLE if you work on your own car, or even if you don't and just want to know what's REALLY up with that wonky sound, funky smell or intermittent stalling, problems starting or what's up with all those dash lights you've been ignoring.Best used by someone with a bit of an automotive background, but honestly even a novice can plus it in and get very useful info otherwise not obtainable any other way.Oh, and this OBD does NOT require WiFi or a subscription to work, unlike many cheaper OMB readers that only have the MINIMAL of functionality and then want you to buy a "subscription" for $100 or whatever to make it work. This one: Not so, it's all about doing it's thing right outta the box.Not all data, analysis and testing functions are supported on all cars, but that's understandable. Newer cars have more diagnostic software and therefore return more data to the OBD, but I have a 2014 Ford Escape and I got everything I needed, info wise, although there were some options the car software just wasn't made to support.An OBD reader is something EVERY car owner should have and keep close, and this one is a great value and seems durable and up to date. Glad I got it.

The scanner does was it needs to do and is simple to use. The price was good as well and worked right away in when I plugged it into my 2011 BMW 328i.

Totally worth the money. Easy to use, easy to understand and works great for all my cars. Why pay $50-$100 to a dealership for a check ENG light or have to run down to an auto parts store for them to take 15-20 minutes to help you out. Just plug it in, turn on the vehicle and minutes later, you can see what your codes and issues are and clear them if needed. Remember all codes are one internet search away, which is exactly what those dealers and stores use. Don't waste your time or money, buy this one time and be independent.

I tried a cheaper scanner before and found that it could not recognize some codes. This one recognizes all the codes I have had on my 2003 BMW 530i. The included database is very handy. I no longer have to look up the codes on my PC to see what they mean. It is of good quality and reads the codes quickly. It's well worth the additional cost. I do wish they included an actual case rather than a cheap cloth bag. I have chosen to keep it in the box for protection. I'm sure that will eventually fall apart.

Competitive price. Delivered quickly. Easy to use. Checked codes with Auto Zone diagnostics and it was spot-on!!! Purchased for our son, and he’s very pleased. Bought one for myself and Considering one for our daughter. Recommend for the DIY home mechanic or to those who are more comfortable double checking auto mechanic-diagnosis prior to repair.

Scanner worked fine out of the box, quickly became aware to limitations and it did not support all our vehicles with all the functions. No reset options either. This would be good for an entry level person who is just curious what is triggering the "check engine" light activation. Limit for further evaluations and diagnosis.
