yes It did meet my expectations, I had already put it together. The instruction manual definitely helped me navigate putting it together properly as there was no tutorial video that I could find to assist me. I did check the QR code on the front and the video could not be found for this particular item. Nonetheless the instruction pamphlet did help. The most important thing was making sure the wholes lined up properly so that the back piece could match up properly. So make sure you pay extra close attention to the 5's category section in the instructional manual, that was one important factor I wanted to make note of for anyone who may be building it alone like myself.

This is a great bookshelf! It is very simple to put together in my opinion. I had no issues and I’m not particularly handy. It has a fun design and it fits nicely in the corner of my living room. It’ll be where I display some of my favorite reads.

Not as tall as I thought it would be but it’s a great piece. I have a few bigger books, and they don’t fit the greatest, but they fit and it holds them up just fine. Eventually I will get another bookshelf but so far, I am very happy with this item.It really wasn’t that bad getting it put together either. It does take a little time but the directions were clear, everything was clearly marked, and I think I had it completed in 15 minutes.

Most important tool: Allen key. This bookshelf did not come with one like it was supposed to hence the 4 star rating (it also comes with a screwdriver) so I doordashed a set from Lowe's. I'd had a few Allen keys from previous assemblies but the screws for this bookshelf required one smaller than what I had, the one that ultimately fit was labeled 4.5 and the screwdriver was very small, I can't aid in the specific size. I do agree with a previous review about ensuring to read the instructions, I don't like to if I don't have to but it'd take longer to think about how to get it to look like the picture than it would to just look at the instructions. Takes maybe an hour or something like that, but if you have a drill obviously it'd get done significantly faster.Color: This one is completely my fault, I wanted a black shelf and forgot to change the color before I bought it. Works well either way, very durable, offers a wall mounting option and the shelving at the bottom is adjustable. 100% worth the purchase, just make sure you have a backup plan in case one of the necessary tools isn't in there. Also smaller than I expected and initially gave me the impression it could lean forward if the books were not adequately placed, definitely mount it if you can.

I absolutely adore this bookshelf. It’s not too big or too small. Assembling was a bit tricky but to be fair I was watching a show while building it and had to back track. The triangle piece did confuse me as the holes were not aligning so I just drilled it in. Overall a great purchase and would recommend to others.

I'm impressed! Read the instructions twice and look at the pictures to make sure the holes and all pieces are in the correct position! But it looks great and is perfect in my opinion!

The first time I assembled this bookcase I got almost to the end and some holes didn’t line up. Despite this difficulty I am giving this bookcase a five star review because their customer service is above and beyond. I emailed the company and got a response from Connie within 24 hours requesting some pictures, which I sent. I soon got a reply showing me the mistake I had made in the very first step with clear pictures, and telling me that she had sent me a second bookcase so that I would not have to undo all the work I had done in order to start again. Connie asked me to let her know when it arrived and how assembly worked out.The package arrived after a couple days and I assembled it without any difficulty in about an hour. The secret is in the instructions but you have to read them carefully and look at the pictures. I then disassembled and reassembled the first bookcase in the same afternoon and now I have two lovely little bookcases. Considering that the problem was clearly my mistake, that is truly remarkable. My only other advice is to wear gloves because there are a lot of screws that have to been tightened with a small Allen wrench, and it is hard on the fingers.

wonderful-just make sure you follow directions or you’re gonna have a bad time.make sure use the silver twist key to screw in the screws and NOT a screwdriver!!!!!! and make sure you follow the instructions about all the tiny holes lining up in a straight line because those holes are what the back piece screw into!follow those instructions and give yourself about an hour and some change, and you’ll have a beautiful bookcase! it really is as nice as it looks online! i’m thinking of buying another one!
