Lovely Collection!
As first time quail owners we weren't sure how it was going to go but I have to say for our first time not bad! We had 18 hatch out out of 30 eggs (6 free ones were given too so 36 total). I'm sure our next batch will be much better now that we have learned so much and have figured out our incubator. The quail that did hatch are an assortment of varieties, all are healthy and beautiful. We have multiple pairs of each variety which is great for future breeding projects. Overall this bundle was great. It was a great value for the variety givens. We loved it so much that we even ordered a second batch.

Great combination of birds
Received 36 all came great place in the incubator after resting from shipping we had our first hatchling on April 1st around 8 pm and our second about 3 hours later since we have had a total of 20 hatch and waiting on 3 more that have pipped unsure if any of the rest will hatch but that will be just fine as we are excited with all the little one we have

Hatching
The eggs are packaged really nice and secure in foam. My order was delayed for some reason and it didn’t arrive on the 12th, then it said the delivery was to be on the 18th, well it delivered on the 15th left in the porch during a snow storm and below zero temps. When I got home and found them I unpacked and let sit for 24 hrs.Nothing hatched, not even one. This was a big disappointment. Not sure if it was the cold or what but during candle there was nothing visible in the eggs. Still kept in incubator with fingers crossed but got nadda.

Not good: will try elsewhere
Only had 18 out of 36 hatch. Out of those 18, 7 had to either be put down from deformities or died on their own. Multiples had severely weakened or damaged legs and cldnt walk or stand. We tried working with them to help, but they were to weak. Suggestion: go to local breeder or get hatched babies so you can see them before you bring them home.

HUGE SUCCESS, Gorgeous birds!! GET HYGROMETERS!!!!!
The media could not be loaded. I LOVE MY NEW QUAIL!! My very first hatch and my BEST!! I made errors and had a faulty incubator and still got 23 out of 30. MUST GET HYGROMETERS! INCUBATORS are off! All 4 I got were not accurate one very badly fluctuates. I have hatched 5 now from differing farms. This was my best, most fertile and eclectic, beautiful mix. They shipped perfectly during Feb to Massachusetts also!! Read reviews and I feel new peeps like me made the same mistakes and is not these eggs mostly!! MORE COMING!! THANK YOU, I LOVE THEM!

33% hatch rate
Eggs arrived neatly packed, but only had a 33% hatch rate, 12 out of 36 hatched, and half of those 12 were weak and died. Breaks my heart. So out of 36 I got 6 healthy birds. My incubator usually is about 90% hatch rate and about 90% of those usually survive. That being said, the eggs did travel from Midwest to California. There was a nice variety of colors to the mix, they are absolutely adorable, and it ended up costing about $10 per bird which is not the worst. They will be so happy in my garden and they found a great home here in Joshua Tree. <3
