As advertised, on time good packaging.Needed a magnet that was not overly strong ,tried several others this one worked well.Metal exterior finish is very nice.Will buy again

So after the neodymium magnet, I wasn’t very sure what to get. The Neos are so strong you can’t pull them apart and a lot of listings don’t include the strength of the magnet. Then those that do most are predominately stronger than anyone really needs. These were larger than expected and have just enough strength to hold up Canvas to a backplate and easy enough to pull away to open. I am using these to replace poor zippers that break too easy on canvas tents and these are perfect. I will probably order more because they are going to work well for my situation.

I was looking for magnets to use to attach a wind blocker to my gas grill. I had a couple pieces of aluminum, and I thought magnets would do the trick; bolt the magnet on the aluminum and stick it to the grill.These fit the bill since they have a hole for a #8 screw, and I'll be able to pull them off to pack up the grill without a crowbar!

UPDATED REVIEW: I was able to make the magnets work...I used a flat head screwdriver to release the magnet from the silver cap. Then I placed small cuts of cardboard from the box they were delivered in between the magnet and cap to lift the magnet to sit flush with the edge of the cap. Then I screwed them into the wall decor item and they hold the seal.ORIGINAL REVIEW: The magnets are likely very strong in and of themselves but the silver colored seal around them does not sit flush to the magnet thereby creating an air gap where the magnet cannot hold is suction strength. I needed these to hold up a 5lb decor item and it wouldn't hold even with 3 magnets attached. If the seal wasn't on them it would work great. Sadly I missed my window for returning them because the home project got delayed and I couldn't test it earlier. Very unfortunate.

I actually went through the work of returning these magnets via FedEx. I buy ALOT of stuff off Amazon and I rarely do this. Perhaps I missed the point... But aren't they suppose to be... well, magnetic?I bought these with the intention of attaching them to a strip of walnut wood. My goal was to create a really pretty wall-mounted tool holder to store my good screwdrivers and paintbrushes. This was not possible. Once the top is connected, it's as if all of the magnetic power is blocked. I wasn't trying to attach anything to heavy... But seriously, these weren't even powerful enough to hold up a pair of tweezers.Aesthetically, these are very nice. The chrome finish is super sleek. Perhaps there's another use than what I thought it was meant for...???

I’m nearly certain these are not neodymium magnets. I think they are ceramic - but they work fine. Neodymium magnets of this size would hold much MUCH more weight (and would be more dangerous, and more likely to shatter.) If you are looking for neodymium, try something else. If you need a magnet that will hold a calendar to your fridge, this will work.
