I bought this for my bedroom which is in my basement, unfortunately my room flooded from really bad rains ans water found a way up through thr concrete under my bathroom shower so i desperately needed a dehumidifier and after days of searching and comparing I chose this one and im glad i did because man doe this do the job well and fast, It sucks water up like it was a hose lol ,by morning 80% of the water was gone, i had to dump many times because it works fast.This is definitely a must have if u want something to remive moisture or water and in a timely manner. 100% RECOMMEND!I had over an inch of water in my bedroom and its a 23ft by 15ft and by the next day u could not see anymore water so definitely a life saver for me, after we tore out my bathroom and waterproofed and built it back, i had to use this to get all the moisture out the bathroom from all the waterproofing that was done etc and there was absolutely no visible water but it filled up 3 times in just 2 days so this baby is a beast in my eyes I absolutely love it

I'm not certain 5-stars is appropriate for this product as I have two and one has failed. I bought one in June 2024 and another in Aug 2024; obviously I liked it enough to purchase a second one. However, upon startup for this season, the 1st one malfunctioned; it would turn on but not collect water. My second unit continues to work great.The dehumidifier has some nice "smart" integration and is capable of extracting a lot of water, very happy with it.I will rate their customer service at 5-stars. I made two calls, the first was to discuss the issue where I received "reset" instructions. After reset, I was to run it for at least an hour to see whether or not the reset resolved the issue. This call timeout and went to voicemail, not a good sign, but I received a callback within minutes. My second call was to report unsuccessful resolution from the reset. During this call I received instructions on how to receive a free replacement as this was still under the 1-year warranty. No return was necessary. Very pleased!I would still recommend this even having one of two units failing. I hope it was just bad luck.5/14/25 UPDATE:I just received my free replacement, it took only two weeks from when I called to delivery - kudos!

My main goal was to demurely a large area. A secondary want was a WiFi capable device. This product meets both needs. The machine works well. We have it in the center of the 1st floor and it hums along, reducing the humidity levels pretty fast. It has an app-based control that’s convenient too. It’s slightly loud so it’s not a good choice if you cannot tolerate the constant whooshing of air. The pros outweigh the cons. We don’t use the hose. Instead we simply empty the tank when necessary. It’s easy. You’d be surprised how much more comfortable your space will be with a dehumidifier. It also reduces the load on your central A/C.

We’ve had this dehumidifier for about 4 weeks now! It’s helped SO much. I have govee lights and wanted to try this one so I could just have one app. It’s great, I can control it from wherever, easy to navigate. We followed the directions - let it sit for 24hr upright before using it. It brought our entire old asf 3br house from 77% humidity to 50% which is WAY more comfortable. We’re just emptying buckets of water once or twice a day rather than using the hose extension so I can’t speak to that part. Water your plants or something #yolo I can hear the fan going but it’s just background noise IMO. It does put out heat in whatever room you have it running but that really doesn’t bother me now that I’m not sticking to the floor walking around the house. So I def recommend!

I bought the GoveeLife Dehumidifier for my unfinished basement in an older home, and I’m really impressed with its performance so far. I followed the manual’s instructions to let it sit upright for 24 hours before use, and setup was straightforward. In just about 4 hours, it brought the humidity level down from 63% to a steady 41-49% (I set it to 45%), which is fantastic for my space.One standout feature is the app—it’s super convenient! It lets you control the humidity level, fan speed, and power from your phone, and even sends alerts when the drain bucket needs to be emptied if you’re not using the hose. The app also has graphs showing the unit’s performance, which I found really helpful and cool to track.If you plan to use the included hose for continuous draining, note that it’s quite short. My drain wasn’t close enough, so I had to buy a longer garden hose to make it work. That said, I love that when the hose is attached, it only drains through the hose and not into the bucket—perfect for uninterrupted operation.Overall, this unit is excellent for the price. It’s efficient, the app adds great functionality, and it’s doing wonders for my basement. The only minor downside is the short hose, but that’s an easy fix. Highly recommend for anyone needing a reliable dehumidifier!Would have given it a 5 star but they need to give a long hose with the unit.

I set this up in my basement that has two main rooms a laundry room and a bathroom. the base is concrete and plaster wall no insulation. humidity today in the basement 76%. 6 hours later we had a full water tank and humidity was 50-54% now i can adjust for it to maintain 58-60%. i can feel the difference. needed this years ago. we never use the basement because of the humidity and people told us the machines was 2-4k

Worked great for a summer in southern Virginia. I plugged it in this spring and it wouldn’t kick on the dehumidify mode… it just had the fan on. I contacted Govee through their smart app and they sent me a replacement over even though it was over a year later. The replacement is working the way it’s supposed to and it’s awesome! 5 stars for customer service.
