My skepticism for this $40 saw has vanished!
My skepticism for this $40 saw has vanished! Nice heavy tool w/ a firm man-sized grip. Using it to cut 3/16" steel and all is good. Tool less blade changes go fast!

Bigger than thought but solid all around.
I was looking for a small electric saw like my pneumatic body saw for small projects. This was the closest I could find. It is definitely bigger then I thought it was going to be. Somewhere between the size of a digrinder and a normal Sawzall. But it is one handed, plenty powerful, the trigger is very controllable, seems pretty robust. I think it will work well for house projects, tree limb cutting, and just smaller cutting needs.

Extreme vibration with little cutting
I bought this reciprocating saw based off of the great reviews. And I'm very disappointed. When it arrived, I immediately read through the instruction manual and charged the battery. The next day, I installed the saw blade properly and according to instructions. Then, I attempted to make a simple small cut through plywood...this saw absolutely refused.I ended up making two cuts less than a half an inch deep, and during that time, the saw vibrated so furiously that my hand holding it was blue & purple, and I seriously wondered if I had caused nerve damage. To make sure I had not used it incorrectly, I had my (very strong and careful) husband read the instructions and attempt to use the saw to cut through the same plywood. He experienced the exact same problems.I am not only disappointed, but traumatized.

Exceeds expectations
The battery on this thing is unbelievable! I don't know if you're supposed to "manage" lithium ion batteries like nicad ones, but I'm in the habit of running rechargeable batteries all the way down before charging them all the way up. With this battery I haven't been able to run it all the way down in one work session pruning trees, I give up long before the battery does. I keep expecting the battery to die quickly the next time I use the tool but it just keeps going. I have other battery powered tools, expensive ones, but the batteries on those don't compare to this cheapo thing, I'm very happily surprised by how good it is. I used it for a couple of hours straight today cutting up limbs about 6" in diameter and the battery wasn't even warm when I finished. I pretty much got this to be a disposable tool but it's so much better than that.

I like the design
I really like the design of this saw. Other saws of this kind have a pistol handle which can be problematic for some projects. I like that this does not have a pistol handle and yet the device is easy to hold and control when cutting. I can't attest to the durability as I have only used this saw one time for a small project, but what I did encounter was all good.

Hard to Hold
The vibration on this thing was so much that I couldn’t really use it. I’m old, but I’m not really that feeble. It didn’t cut that well either. I suppose if you were far more muscular, it would be fine but warnings to anyone without super hand strength.

Good Tool
It seems to work well as I see it now as I used it very little. But, in general I like it and seems to do the job as intended! Thank you.
