Love these
The picture quality on these is great compared to most others in the price range. You can aim it pretty much any direction you need. The night vision is high quality. I use them with the Reolink NVR and they connect automatically and change the default password. Personally I like to go through the full configuration and set my own password. Luckily, these give you the full config via the network IP. So I always just plug them into my router and pull them up via their assigned IP before unplugging them from the router and plugging them into the NVR. I also tried the antitamper version of these and those don't have nearly as good a picture. So I'll stick with these for everywhere out of reach.

Good camera, price was good on sale.
I wanted one more camera for my Reolink system and this one is the exactly the same model of camera that came with the system so there's was no issue with installing it.

Great replacement for a broken outdoor camera
I purchased the REOLINK 12MPP PoE IP Camera because I had an old competitor brand that failed and I already have some indoor REOLINK cameras that I really like. The install was easy, I just climbed up the ladder, removed the old and screwed in the REOLINK. After reconnecting the existing ethernet cable, I was able to power up and configure this camera in about 5 minutes. The app makes it super simple to watch live as well as playback motion events if you connect it to an NVR or install a microSD card. One thing to note is that this needs to be powered by a PoE switch, NVR or PoE injector to work. My only complaint and why I marked it down 1 stat is that I wish it came with optical zoom. I could not seem to find a REOLINK camera with all the features this one had and optical zoom.

Bad software
Great hardware but no point if the software is unreliablePlease read so you don't spend days laying Ethernet only to be disappointed by the poor Reolink software. There are issues with push notifications not coming, bad user design, and no warning if a camera goes down.Push notificationsI depended on Reolink to alert me in the event of motion. It turns out they are not at all dependable. After four days of proper operation, the app stopped sending notifications. I tested by walking in front and observing consistently that the footage was captured on disk, but no notification was sent. Everything was set correctly, yet no notifications came. I am not a security guard watching the cameras all day. I need notifications when I indicate that they should be sent. Avoid Reolink because their undependable notifications will put you at risk.Poor user designAdmins can create accounts for standard (non-admin) users to access the NVR in a safe fashion. Say I want to allow a standard user to receive push notifications, such as a detected motion event. Sounds easy, right? Reolink NVRs cannot even do this simple task. Their customer service says the only way is to let other people login with the admin account in order to enable push notifications. This has been a problem for over two years now, and I doubt they are even working on a fix. Look up "reolink push notifications operation failed". That is right: if you attempt to activate push notifications as a standard user, you get a nice error message stating "operation failed" which is how it has been since 2021. Avoid Reolink because they want you to share your NVR by letting other people login with the admin account. No Video Loss WarningIf one of your cameras is disabled, there is no way to get notified of this. You will find out eventually when you check the feeds and have no idea when it went down.
