Better than Windows 10!
I'm tired of the vulnerability of Windows to viruses, Trojans and phishing scams. Linux is almost 100% immune or because so few computers use Linux, (compared to Windows), felons are not interested in them. I love it! I have a laptop that I call "the traveling computer"; we carry if when we go on vacation. I installed the Mint Cinnamon in it and it runs like new. I don't miss Windows with it.

This item is very integrated. It plugs in and launches into a menu ofdifferent choices. It will require thought and planning to chose the correct path.After you have booted into your linux desktop you will find that a lot of the hard stuff is alreadydone for you. An office clone has been preloaded. Loading this and other needed utility's takes timeand effort. Well worth the price paid in time saved.

WASTE OF MONEY!! PROGRAM IS FREE TO DOWNLOAD FROM LINUX SITE
Followed instructions. When computer went to reboot it would not boot up. Reset boot drive that didn't helped tried recovery that didn't work. Went on phone internet to try to trouble shoot, found out it's all free online with proper updates. WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!!!!!

It works great!
Four stars! One, because it got me started on Linux Mint! Two, because it was easy to install! Three, because it's only the 19.2 version, and if you're building a brand new system from scratch, like I did, you will still need to upgrade to the 19.3 version, or you're graphics drivers might not work! Four, because you can go to the Linux website and download the latest version for free!

ExcellentLINUX Device BUT May Not Function on All PCs
I purchased this LINUX USB device to learn a bit about LINUX during our COVID ‘lock-down’. It does function as intended BUT not on all my PCs. I intended to use this device with my old Windows XP Home Edition (SP3) PC, an eMACHINES EL-1300G-01W. However, it will not 'boot' on that PC: "no boot device found" error message. it became evident that NOT ALL PCs are capable of ‘booting’ from a USB thumb drive.One major obstacle is being able to disable ‘secure boot’ and enable ‘legacy devices’ in the PC’s BIOS setup so that the correct boot device can be selected. Even with this done, my older PCs CAN NOT boot from this device.If you have any doubts about your PC, I suggest that you test the PC by creating a bootable USB LINUX thumb drive (pendrive). FREE downloads of the necessary files, along with instructions, can be found on the internet.I recommended that, unless you are certain of your PC's capability, you do test your PC prior to purchasing this device.

Installed and working well on the first try.
Pre-packaged programs are enough to immediately go online surfing and to handle basics like photos and docs without much more that finding where to click. Beyond that, Linux is more hands-on than windows and you'll need to learn some things to make do what you need.
