We like this product. I read the reviews before buying so I was prepared for what I'd see after opening the first can :-)This is pineapple "mush". It does not contain chunks, so if you want to eat it as a dessert etc., this is not the right product for you. Instead, get the chunks or slices from the same company, they're extremely yummy.These cans contain CRUSHED pineapple, so this product works great for baking or in smoothies. I have to say, that I still sometimes prefer the chunks for smoothies because there's more liquid. For the perfect smoothie, I like to use one can of these PLUS one can of the chunks or slices.....best of both worlds :-DAll in all, this company makes great products. I appreciate them being organic and without any artificial stuff. We've been buing their products for years and will continue to do so. Just make sure you order the right variety for the project you're planning :-)

I'm writing this review because, making a decision with the family wallet this time, my last S&S order included a well-known brand of canned pineapple (chunks, not organic). Yes, the case was more than 3x cheaper than my other Pineapple order before that, this Native Forest Organic Crushed Pineapple. Simply put, even the difference in color gave it all away... The cheaper brand has virtually no color or flavor, whereas Native Forest offers sweet, beautiful pineapple that you want to gobble up (and do!) much too quickly! I'm sorry, but I just can't afford this luscious canned fruit like I would like!! Anyway, while it was in the house, I basically enjoyed the organic crushed pineapple in smoothies, and also as a Pina colada-esque treat with coconut milk and/or unsulphured and unsweetened shredded coconut. Highly recommended!

This smooth crushed pineapple has amazing flavor- so often the case with organic food. . Great for pineapple cake but it’s so good that we refrigerate the cans and serve in fruit bowls as a delicious dessert! Somehow it’s always gone when we want to bake!
