it has worked fine for the 2 press jobs I've put it thru
directions could use more close up assembly photos when putting it together, it has worked fine for the 2 press jobs I've put it thru. Hope to be using it many times in near future to press automotive bearings in and out, sure beats using a heavy hammer and beating on expensive sockets. Dake replaced the broken(shipping issue) valve release within 3 days of talking to a rep. thumbs up for a quick service experience. It is a Chinese press made to Dake standards but this product seems built very well for the price. I probably researched 3 days and read about 75 different presses and thought this model offered the most accessories and quality under $300. Pumps feet pods need 1/4 or 3/8" holes drilled in them for a more secure mounting on my bench surface, a change I am thinking of doing to mine. I am thinking of different ways this press can make my work tasks easier or more creative so I give it a thumbs up for a good buy.

Damaged Box, Missing Parts
I would like to get the replacement parts that were missing from the box. Upon assembling the press this afternoon, it was discovered that several parts were missing. (2) Table pins Dake Part number 301125, the step nose piece Dake part number 301126, the flat nose piece Dake part number 301127, and the Ring no Dake part number. There is no option to just get replacements, only arrange return of the unit. Hopefully, someone will respond to this review.

First off great press. It works and has a nice form factor. The pictures make this press look better than it really does in real life, but thats being picky. My main grip was packaging. The thin layer of cardboard wrapped in shipping tape is entirely insufficient. This resulted in scratches on the painted metal. My other demerit pertains to the assembly/instructions. The instructions stated that one of the plates holding the press mechanism was already assembled from the factory when this was not the case. Still, the press works well. I just wish packaging was better and it deserved better considering the premium in price paid compared to other Chinese made presses.

The company I work at has the same Dake press but bigger. When I saw this Dake press I immediately decided to purchase it because I was sure the build quality was going to be great. I was not disappointed. It was easy to assemble and use. I decided to use it on a wheel bearing that needed to be pressed out and a new one to be pressed in. It took 30 minutes to completely finish the task and it all went smoothly without any issues. Great product for good price. Definitely recommend.

Better than average press, however, chinese lack of quality pulled through.
Good press. However, the ram return spring broke in 45 minutes. Not top notch customer care from Dake. Disappointed in Dake. Would examine all presses from now on and not be stuck on an old time american manufacturer. Return spring metallurgy failed.

NIce little press, poor manual.
Nice little press. My only issue is that the manual (and assembly instructions) appear to be written by the Chinese who made it. Come on, can't Dake write the manual here in USA, or at least proof it? I was a bit confused at first because the manual started with assembling the feet, saying that the top bar was pre-assembled at the factory, which it was not. But after getting over that, it was clear enough what to do, and everything lined up OK. Also there was a threaded locking ring for the bottom of the cylinder, which I think the manual never mentioned at all. But it works well once you get it together. You have to close the valve knob on the pump (screw it in) to pump up the press, then unscrew it to release. I think the manual did say this, but by that time I pretty much was done with the manual, so it took me a few minutes to figure it out.

Mine had a big neck in the hydraulic hose
Mine had a big neck in the hydraulic hose other than that I would have given it 4 stars I got mine for a gift and I do like it other than that issue I’m afraid to put it up to actual pressure I’m going to need to replace the hose.

Didn't meet my expectations
Made in China, paint job quality is garbage. I'm not satisfied with it. I may just sell on Craigslist
