Pioneer Valley Fancy Strawberry Rhubarb Jam

Great taste, I can't find rhubarb jelly in the southern states.

Maybe the reviews saying this product lacked rhubarb flavor were from previous formulations (I wish Amazon would list reviews newest first), but IMMEDIATELY when I opened the jar, the FIRST note I smelled was rhubarb. Flavor was excellent - it is NOT overly sweet, and the rhubarb taste is very evident. My only suggestion would be maybe a little less pectin, but this is SO tasty I'm willing to overlook that. Wish they offered it in a larger size! Recommend.

Because I live in Pioneer Valley (Massachusetts) I was curious about this product. Am I glad I ordered it. The combination of strawberry-rhubarb is perfect. It tastes homemade. I will definitely order again and again!

This is a fine product, however it is very sweet which makes me wonder why use rhubarb in the recipe? Rhubarb adds a tart quality which is lacking in this product. It tastes more like strawberry with little or no rhubarb. That said it is a very good strawberry preserve. But for a true rhubarb enthusiast it is lacking. To the makers of this preserve, I would recommend backing off on the sugar a little and increase the rhubarb content until until there is a more noticeable twang (tart or sour) flavor. There is an art in finding the perfect balance to strawberry / rhubarb preserves.

Quality so so.Taste a disappointment. Tastes like cheap strawberry jelly. No rhubarb tang or flavor. Gave me an immediate stomachache.

We love strawberry rhubarb pie but in jam form it is so unusual that I had to buy it. We had it on toast this morning and it was such a treat. It is heavy on the strawberries but you still get the rhubarb coming through. I doubt this jar lasts long. I am even thinking about getting some to put in a couple of Christmas gifts with their other items.
