So far, so good. Non-dripping carafe is a nice change from the competition's dripper.
Did someone say it makes HOT coffee? Watch out for that first sip if you're not used to HOT coffee! I've had 4 similar Brand X (starts with "C" and doesn't make HOT coffee) with which I've been perfectly happy the first two years of use after which they decide to inconveniently dump their water all over the counter, down your cabinets and onto the floor - sometimes mentioned in their reviews. Not a particularly happy thing to find at 5am let alone no coffee either. After my post mortem analysis, I find this is due to a long-standing design/materials/assembly application issue negatively effecting Brand X's reliability (not be confused with their quality which is OK). To be fair, Brand X pot #4 was a slightly more robust version of this product line and did not do this waterfall thing - but it did stop making coffee properly at 16 months old (and it was more expensive). Plus, it's impossible to not drip from Brand X's carafes. So, I've put the past brand-loyalty behind me and moved on to Ninja to see how it does ( I have a Ninja blender which is fine). Anyway, so far so good. I like the consistently non-dripping carafe better (if you pour from it correctly) as well as the water filling process (which some folks don't like). Coffee output seems no different than Brand X's other than being cooler but it does require a tad more coffee/less water to match the bold/rich setting of Brand X's. At this point I can't speak to reliability (lifetime), of course, but we'll just have to wait and see about that. Quality is good. Controls are good. Footprint is good. Price is good.

Makes a good cup of Coffee in my opinion. Overall I'm pleased.
Makes a great cup of coffee in my opinion. Just get some paper filters. Most are for 12 not 14 I even bought some here that were for 14 cups but the grind leaked over and some ended in my coffee yuk. if you use the include reusable filter you won't have that issue but you do get some silt from the coffee unlike a paper filter. I Used Classic instead of Rich. Classic was strong enough for me and was quicker to brew I was using 8 O'clock pre-grounded coffee FYI. Rich is too slow for me and was bitter and not rich smooth taste. My old Coffee brewer I had to set it dark to make it taste as good as this Ninja on classic. Timer works for me and LED read out was easy to read. I just keep the water container in place and fill it with a pitcher from my filter water system. I doesn't leak when I pour normally. If you are want a cup before it finish if you pull up and out you will get drips on the heater pad. If you pull out without pushing up that keeps the spring stopper from leaking. No numbers on Carafe but it on the water container FYI. Overall I'm pleased.

Great coffee maker.
Brews coffee just fine. This Ninja coffee maker is an upgrade compared to my last coffee maker. There are a couple of things I had to get used to.What I found different is there is no fill markers on the carafe itself and the water fill lines are on the reservoir, easily seen and not on the inside like my last machine. Also I found the carafe very large with a wide pour spout. So when pouring your coffee, make sure to pour straight and even and slowly otherwise it will pour out wide.Another thing I liked is the controls were easy to learn . This is one of the better coffee makers I have owned.

Nice coffeemaker, terrible water tank placement
We have had the 12-cup Ninja for years and we decided to get this one for the extra two cup capacity. It's actually a very nice coffeemaker. The pot DOES NOT leak from the spout as some of the reviews suggest. You do have to take care when pouring the first cup from a full pot because if you tip the pot too far forward coffee will drip from the center of the cover at the dome. The trick is to hold the pot high enough when pouring so it's not tipped too far forward. The glass pot does not have cup markings so you do have to guess how much coffee is left in the pot at any given time, but we are used to that from our previous one.The copper color is very attractive. It is very low profile and doesn't take up a lot of space. We like the delay program. It's very easy to turn on and off. The auto shut off kicks in after the warm function finishes. Ours is set to 4 hours. It's easy to set the time and to program it. The coffee is very hot just the way we like it. The coffee tastes great, but I credit that to the quality of the beans used and not the actual coffeemaker. There is no odd plastic smell to the coffeemaker. The only issue is the location of the water tank. They put it in back on this model instead of on the side and it's terrible placement. We have to constantly pull the coffee maker away from the side of the refrigerator to put the tank in and out. The tank goes off balance trying to insert it because it has to match up perfectly to the area where the ground coffee goes. It's very awkward and so annoying trying to juggle it when it's full to get it lined up correctly. I deducted one star because it really takes away from the overall appeal of the coffee maker. We think it's a good value for the price paid, and it is actually very nice, except for the water tank placement.

Great coffee maker!
This coffee maker not only looks good, but it also takes up very little space and the coffee is HOT! My Keurig Duo never made the coffee this hot. The only downside for some users may be that you need to add only as much water as you want to use because the coffee maker will heat and pump out ALL of it. I really like the Ninja.

Great size, great features!
Love this coffeemaker. For a 14 cup coffeemaker it doesn't take up alot of room, which is why I bought it. Also I love the water reservoir so much easier for me to make coffee!Very easy to use! Love it
