The best and smoothest shave I've had in years
In my opinion, shaving technology has gone downward since the adjustable injector razor. i dropped mine and whacked the adjustment bar. From then it was good only for thin slicing cold cuts. ( Can't remember why I never was able to replace it ( military, long time ago )).Multiple blade razors are fine for daily shaving, but for heavier growth or shaping, forget it, and don't get me started on electric, rotary or foil.I had grown a full beard but decided to trim back the scruffy partsLong story short, I decided to try a double edged safety razor and for no other reason I can think of except that I liked it's looks, I settled on this one. Not the cheapest or the most expensive but the reviews were generally very good. It's a bit heavy, but not unwieldy, and I started with the supplied blades, even though some reviewers panned the quality. The blades are packed in a branded box and wrapping but appear otherwise unbranded. The ones I used were quite sharp and performed very well in both of my razors. The pictograph instructions are a bit vague and I fumbled a bit getting the blade properly installed. To be safe, I started at the lowest setting and progressed to 3-4, just about where I could actually feel the blade working. At this point, the shave was consistent, fast and not at all uncomfortable. If it was this good with "bad" blades, how will it be with superior blades? No cuts or nicks, short strokes or long but there was a bit of a burn when the after shave was applied. All told VERY satisfied with the purchase and the results. Highly recommended. You might do worse with a different razor, but I don't see how you could do much better.

A Great Budget Razor
Just got my Qshave and used it this morning. I only had a day of growth and I'm pretty new to DE razors so I tried the 2 setting with an included blade. I got a very good shave. I used Cremo and applied by hand. Think I'll try getting a brush. Anyways yes the head is bigger, but I like that the sides of the blade are covered. I used a disposable razor to hit the edges the large head couldn't cover. The rotation for the settings is nice and tight so it didn't feel like it would move off of a setting. I didn't find the shave harsh at all and I felt the control was good. For the money this is a very nice razor!

Clone of the Merkur Futur, with the same pros and cons
I switched to double-edged shaving several years ago, and I own several razors now including a Merkur, which is my favorite. I later saw the Merkur Futur and liked the design, but not the price. And given that the shaving experience between razor models can vary wildly, I wasn't going to pay almost $100 and take a chance on one. Then I happened across this clone for an acceptable price, and the reviews were encouraging. I ordered one.The razor feels high-quality. Solid metal with no loose parts. And I like that it comes in a color the official product does not.Replacing the blade is a little awkward, though. Whereas normal safety razors have two or three posts for the blade to fit onto, this one has a very shallow head area. The top has small pegs that seem to serve the same function, so you either have to balance the blade on the handle and carefully, gently snap the top down, or place the blade on the top and snap it on while holding the razor upside down.I gave one of the included blades a try. It was OK. I normally use Feather blades, so I swapped to one of them the next time I shaved with it. As for the shave itself, I need to adjust the razor all the way to the 6 1/2 setting (the max) to get a decent shave. This sets the aggressiveness to its max, which is unlike my regular Merkur razor, which honestly shaves a little better than this. But this is still not bad.The smooth finish looks and feels nice, however it poses a problem. There is no grip for your fingers if they're wet or slick. I use Cremo shave cream which is super-slick when wet, and I normally rinse my fingers off after applying it, but there's always some leftover residue until I fully wash my hands with soap after shaving. The knurled pattern on my regular razor helps prevent slippage. With the smooth finish on the QShave however, I have to be extra careful to rinse and wipe my fingers or else holding it (let alone using it) is very difficult.Overall, I'd suggest putting your money into a basic Merkur that can be had for just a little more than this one. I'm glad this clone of the Futur let me have a chance at seeing what it was like without dropping nearly $100 on it.

Been using for months now
With different blades that need varied angles this is the ticket! I recently ordered a pack ofmultiple brand razors off amazon and so glad I had this type of handle. If not I would not have been able to adjust it for the various blades. Make no mistake, different blade manufacturers require varied depths and can nick or cut if not set correctly. On the other hand some need more blade clearance for that baby smooth shave we all love. Do yourself a solid and get this baby...

Great price, sturdy, slippery
I love mine, it's sturdy and easy to change blades. And I love the adjustability so I can go from a very narrow blade gap for sensitive areas to a much wider blade gap for quickly taking off lots of hair. Only thing is the handle is very smooth and slippery, and should really have some knurling or ridges to hold on to. When your hands get a little soap on them it will slip right out, fall in the sink, and the blade and guard will go flying somewhere!
