If you have a children's birthday party, get these as party favors as they are perfect for their little hands to play with. The material is plastic, making it easier when slinging it back and forth. They came in many colors, which makes it fun for children to trade for their favorite color. All the ones I received had funny faces on them and they can be clearly seen. None of them were broken or twisted, they were all in great shape. If these do get dangled, it is easy to twist them a few times and it goes right back in its shape. These are thinly made and they have lasted for a few months now as my one-year-old plays with them nonstop. These are packaged neatly in a stack so they do not get twisted or crushed through shipment. When I took these out of the package there was no harsh paint smell to them they had no scent at all. Be careful when toddlers play with these because they do sling back pretty quickly and it can startle them especially when it hits the face area.

These don't extent very far. They feel unusable due to this. I was expecting them to be similar to my metal 1" slinky.
