Excellent for shrimp and scavengers.
Bought this for my boyfriend's tank. The shrimp really love it as well as his other fish. Hasn't deteriorated or aged badly after 6 months of continual use, and no nasty algae blooms or anything else. Will buy again especially as it looks so good. Smaller than anticipated though.

More than just decorative
My tank is only small, so I thought I'd only use two of these. But then I realised I could stick one on the end of my pump like a silencer. It works really well as it reduces the pump output to a more appropriate level for the tank.Under normal usage conditions, these are attractive little logs that will provide very good hiding spots for shrimp etc.
