Q: What color light does this emit? Yellow or white?

I would call this white. It's an LED light and very bright. I did some research before buying this for makeup application. My bathroom is very dark and I could never get my makeup right - looked completely different when I went outside! So, I read that LED is the closest thing to having natural light for makeup application. I've been very happy with this mirror.

Q: Will it. Fix on wooden wall ?

I followed instructions to apply attach pad to the side wall right next to my sink, then applied pressure to simply turn base to tighten. very adjustable.

Q: Can I stick this to wallpaper?

No, it's has a strong suction cup, to apply it to wallpaper could possibly damage it. The smoother the surface the better the results. What I can attest to it that I attached it to small section of my mirror the day it arrived and it is still stuck there.

Q: Perplexed by this “knob at base” nothing on the base of mine turns/moves at all?

Hi - the base of the arm is the knob, it should turn all together to tighten the seal of the plastic suction cup.
