Short girl friendly!
I spent weeks researching the right hyperextension bench for me. I decided on this one as a 5'5" woman because many others you could not adjust the hip pad low enough. I am very pleased with this, I even have one notch lower that I could go. So if you are shorter than me it should work well. I'm impressed with how sturdy it is so far. I am 150lbs and I load about 80-100lbs for my hyper extensions. I haven't noticed any bending of the metal yet. I was also able to do dips on it which I was surprised. I don't think you could do dips on it if you weighed more than 200 lb, I'm not sure if the metal would be strong enough or not. I could be wrong. All in all I would highly recommend this bench!

Easy to set up, move and use.
Amazon roman chair reviewThis about the adjustable angle Sunny health & Fitness Hyperextension Roman Chair. I specify that because there was no way to differentiate the Amazon reviews when I was doing my research and most reviews were for the basic model.Fyi, I'm 5'11" or 181cm and 168lbs or 76kg. Overall I'm very satisfied with the purchase and I'm hopeful that it will play a big role in strengthening my back and overall core.Things are like:1.I can easily do reverse hyper-extensions. This was a big thing for me and almost no reviews mentioned this.2. The cushions on the foam rollers, the part that helps secure your legs, are more than adequate. I expected less cushioning so it was a nice surprise.3. The foam rollers aren't fixed. You can tighten it into one position and maybe you're supposed to do that, but I've found that leaving this loose allows the foam rollers to easily move to a "just-right" position for whatever I'm using it for.4. I can do side obliques, reverse hyper-extensions, sit-ups, dips and push ups. If your upper body is already very strong you won't get any value doing push-ups, but if you're recovering from an injury or starting out building upper body strength this works quite nicely.5. I can secure elastic exercise bands to the handles, and use the entire unit as a counterweight for adduction and abduction exercises. I'm sure you can find other places to secure exercise bands to do a whole range of other exercises.6. Painting the adjustable leg red is a nice touch as you always want to be clear where this brace is positioned before you use the chair.7. The base of the red adjustable leg extends out in opposite directions to form a large "T-base" that gives an extra sense of security that this swivel-leg doesn't slip out from under you when you're exercising. No other similar product from competitors, that I have seen, have a swivel base that extends out to form a similar "T-base".8. It was easy to set up. In fact, the only thing you have to do is secure the foam pads (where your hips rest) to the frame. And that's it; ready to use. Each pad requires four screws that come with the unit.9. The entire unit is heavy enough to make you feel secure but light enough to be lifted very easily.10.The little wheels at the base allows you to wheel the unit to wherever you like. Very helpful as you don't want to lift it up all the time and many times I just want to collapse it and wheel it to a nearby wall. What I don't like:1. The hip pads are a bit hard. Some more padding would be appreciated.2. There is no guidance about how high to adjust the frame so as to avoid hurting your back, or discomfort for men if they set the height too low. When too low the split between the pads caused me much discomfort. The split between the two pads is marketed as a benefit to men, but I've laid face down on many a bench and my boys have never felt uncomfortable. With this split between the pads, I now have to be careful about how my boys "fit" or don't fit into the gap. The current height adjustment I use means that my boys are mostly at the bottom of the pads where the pads begin and the gap is widest. Women of course will not have any issues. My point though is that one thickly cushioned pad would have been preferable to me.3. The knob to secure the slideable central beam doesn't give a smooth "slide and click" experience. It took some playing around with it before I found my correct height, and also felt it securely click in place. This is not a problem as I'm the only one using the chair. I don't think this will be a real issue even if you have to change the height often as I'm sure you'll get the hang of pulling the knob and sliding it to the click sound.4. One of the supplied screws was defective and I had to go to hardware and hunt for one that would work. Would be nice if they could have checked them beforehand or just supplied a couple extra in case of this problem.5. It is just a bit shaky but every competitor's product that is based on only one central support instead of support on each side (below each of your arms) will wobble. That's unavoidable, and the wobble only occurs when you are getting on or off the machine as most people will invariably favour one side of their body first when they mount or dismount the chair. The good news is that it doesn't seem at all unsafe. There is nothing I have done that gave me the slightest concern that it would tip over in any direction.Concerns:Over the long term, I wonder how well the frame will stand up to corrosion. If I was over 250 lbs I'm not sure the unit would feel as secure.Overall, for the price, I think this is a really good buy and I highly recommend it.

Sturdy, Solid Product
Love Sunny products! This was easier than I thought to put together! I was stressed at first when I opened the package, but it wasn't bad! Ratcheting wrenches make it 100 times easier if you have them!Sturdy and well made!

The pad cushion hurts so much no matter how I adjust it. Terrible comfort.
UPDATE: Don't buy this one, instead buy a roman chair with a pad that has a gap in the center for your male genitalia. If you have foot problems, make sure you buy a roman chair with a foot rest, so your feet lie flat, especially if you struggle with turf toe related foot conditions. Also, 45 degrees is very challenging, try to get a roman chair that allows you to adjust the angle.1. ensure you buy a roman chair with a gap in center of the pad for your male genitalia.2. ensure there's a footrest to keep your feet flat.3. ensure you get one that lets you adjust the angle--original--My god, the pad cushion hurts so much when you lay against it. The company that made this is cruel. I'm male, 5'11, around 170'ish. No matter what elevation I use for the pad, it will hurt your legs, pelvis or crush your balls and genital area. I can't believe the Sunny company would actually find this acceptable. This is not one of those roman chairs you'll find in a professional gym that's super comfortable, it's the total opposite. I can't believe you guys gave this 5 stars. This is the first time I've ever been dissatisfied with a product that has gotten such high reviews, yet the pad hurts so much. I'm going to have to return it sadly. No matter how I adjust it, it will either hurt my legs, pelvis or crush the balls scrotum, lol, WHY?! Guys, listen. This is not some idiotic ranting. DO NOT BUY THIS, instead search for a roman chair that has a lot of reviews where no one is complaining about the pad cushion or crushing your male genitalia down there. That's VERY important. I'm trying to save you time, you have to listen to me. DO NOT BUY THIS, and make sure you research that the pad cushion of the other roman chair you buy is high quality, that's critically important. Aww my balls man. *sigh*It's sturdy and strong, but that pad cushion is a complete and total deal breaker. I feel like the company is cruel for selling it like this. It feels like actual cruelty. I normally never leave reviews like this, but man, what did I do to the Sunny company to deserve this bro? :( You couldn't just make a nice comfortable pad? Come on man.

Good- but missing part
Missing an essential bolt- good thing I had one on hand that worked. Other than that, seems solid and I'm looking forward to using it.
