All ink is pricey, nothing to do with the brand, but seems to be one of the better, gets job done.
Printed two color photographs, an alignment test sheet with very small test prints, and the magenta and yellow already started showing the status bars going down a tad more than the others. Maybe it's supposed to be that way, however, I don't think the "XL" carts really seem to make a difference compared to the standard, but at least it's cheaper than the brand-name "Epson" carts. In my opinion, regardless, I'd say do not pay for brand-name ink, might as well just buy these cheaper remanufactured "XL" cartridges because they all last the same amount of time anyways. Not sure what difference "XL" makes compared the the starter carts, the status bars seem to go down just as quick, if not, slightly less. Definitely not going to last 450-600 pages, even with some smaller mostly text prints.Decent third-party ink, I guess.UPDATE: The seller contacted me via email regarding my opinion, and provided a compensation. As far as the ink quality, it appears that it prints pictures as well as the printer is able to, so the quality of prints is standard with the printer quality and capability itself.UPDATE 09/2/21: The latest firmware being rolled out right now makes these cartridges unreadable, so I would DEFINITELY refrain from updating the firmware at the moment, until these chips gets updated, because you cannot even access the home screen or wi-fi, essentially bricking the printer; it keeps looping to a maintenance error until you install new cartridges. If you've updated the firmware, you have to downgrade to the previous or older firmware to make the printer usable at all again by plugging the printer to your computer via USB, booting your printer into recovery mode (each model has slightly different steps), and downloading the firmware from EPSON's official website ASAP (if they still have an older one listed on the specific model's download page), then make sure everything is plugged in while in recovery mode before opening the firmware setup file, so it recognizes the printer recovery mode driver during the firmware installation process, wait a few minutes, and then power cycle after the recovery process says "finished" on the printer screen. Write your working firmware version down, so you can identify the ones that are currently working for download, installation and/or recovery. Also, CANCEL automatic updates on your computer's printer software updater by selecting "Never" to check for automatic updates. Again, this latest firmware causes your printer to be UNUSABLE!Update 10/28/21: Ink is holding up okay, but the printer doesn't really print that great of quality even after multiple alignment adjustments, but I don't think it's the ink, just the cheap Epson printer. As said in previous review update, DO NOT update firmware to prevent bricking or "freezing" your entire printer with using any third party cartridges installed.

Works but Less than Full Ink
Good news it works, (or at least the black one does as it's the only one I have inserted so far.) I had turned off "auto updates" setting (right click printer icon on your bottom task bar) so I have not had allowed for any Epson updates for about 10-12 months so I think it may work ok for you if you have not performed any Epson updates of late. I would wait say 6+ months before ever switching and stay with Epson until enough time has passed. So far print quality seems ok on the black. Bad news is the Black XL shows less than full. The manufacture date shows 08/2019 which is probably bogus and to just to get around the Espon software but I am deducting based upon not getting a full cartridge. If they all prove to less than full XL's, than this is not a great deal after all and I will buy elsewhere. In the past you could hear "liquid" in the cartridge before inserting but I don't with these so it makes me wonder if their too old or they just are shorting us ink. I will update rating further plus or minus as time goes by.Update 2/22 - Seller provided me with replacement cartridge so I have increased my rating by one star based upon their willingness to stand behind their products. I will continue to monitor future ink performance and update as needed.

Stop updating!
Almost all the generic inks work, some do have different quality of ink delivery. For ALL THOSE PEOPLE claiming the printer doesn’t recognize, STOP choosing the update on the screen when prompted. Mine pops up on the screen EVERYDAY, I just choose the DISMISS option. These updates are not functionality or print quality updates, they are simply “printer stop recognizing generic ink updates”. Every time a generic ink is produced, the printer company creates an update to block it. I haven’t updated since 1/2/21. When I previously updated in December 2020, all my generic ink I had purchased stoped working. They make literally MILLIONS on “brand ink”.

Edited review
EDIT.Customer service reached out to me after my review and offered to send me new cartridges out for free to test and apologize that the first ones did not work. That's pretty cool for a company to go ahead and do that without me even contacting them. I haven't tried the cartridges yet because I had to buy The original manufacture cartridges since the first I purchased from the seller didn't work and I desperately needed ink. I will revisit this review after I've tested the new cartridges the seller has sent. I'm hoping they work and the first batch was just a bad one. This ink does not get recognized by the printer as it states that it does. I made sure that this said it fit the model of printer that I have. It looks identical to the manufacturer ink but you get what you pay for. It is trash and a waste of money. Don't buy.

after update The cartridge stopped working.
The Black ink cartridge was working fine in the Epson WF-2850 until it said it need to do an update on 9/1/21.I finished printing so I told it to go ahead and update and it did. Now it does not recognize the ink cartridge unless it is a Genuine Epson ink cartridge. But Amazon was nice and they are taking the cartridges back and giving me a refund as a gift card. So if you can get by without doing the update then don't do it I liked the ink cartridges they lasted a lot longer now I have to go and buy EPSON brand.
