A MUST for every Instructional Designer
Irrespective of you being a beginner or experienced in this field, this book is a must. The author has done a commendable job in explaining ID theories and principles such that you will be able to understand the concepts in your very first read.Every chapter begins with an analogy and the deep dives into the concepts. Examples and case studies provided are like cherries on top of the cake. My favorite chapter is 'Designing the Outline'.

Very comprehensive
I think this is a must-have book for all learning experience designers out there. As an instructional designer myself from past so many years, I find this book a comprehensive guide on so many popular learning principles, theories, frameworks, and models. If you are looking for a single reference point on learning science, look no further. Mager, Merrill, Gagne, Bloom, Kolb, Keller, Dick and Carey-all feature in this book with their learning principles structured around the practical process of ADDIE. Plus, the case studies toward the end help put learning in real-life contexts. A big shout-out to Purnima Valiathan and ID Mentors for sharing this valuable knowledge.

Great for all Instructional Designers!!
Long due a book from an Indian author! Purnima Valiathan nails it by not only providing the theory but also provides real life examples which is so helpful for us to draw parallels and implement them. Well done!!!

Lucid Analysis and Synthesis of Instructional Design
After being a self-made writer, designer, trainer for a few years, a formal introduction to the field was very welcome fir me to get back to the industry. I have taken the course with the author which taught me to formalize and structure my thought process. The book in itself is an example of Instructional Design. Very clear explanations with real world examples and non-examples. It is a must have for anyone getting into this field.
