Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series - PlayStation 4

My favorite telltale game from the little telltale games I have played so far.

Was worried that I couldn’t get episodes 2 - 5, but they downloaded fine, great story, great game, great replay-ability!

I must say I really enjoyed this Marvel game. After playing both seasons of the Batman Telltale Series on the PS4, I wondered how the Guardians would turn out. And this turned out better than I thought. At first I tried to get the whole series via download off the PS4 but noticed episode 1 was missing from the store. Then I look this game up on Amazon and it contains episode 1, leaving the other episodes as add-ons. I thought that was interesting for a change of pace.I really enjoy the decision making games where one choice leads to a whole other string of choices, ultimately leading to various outcomes. When I started playing this, I was instantly tuned in right away to the song "Livin' Thing" by Electric Light Orchestra on the main menu. And the concept of this game, the characters, the story, as well as the humor, makes this look even better that the Guardians movies. But don't just take my word for it. And if you're an avid Guardians of the Galaxy fan, or a fan of decisive games, or video games in general, I'd say give this game a try. Trust me, it will be worth it.

Pretty much summed it up in the headline. Story was fun. Played it a couple of times through, to see some of the alternative storyline. Could probably have played three or four times and not seen every bit of dialogue. A few of the episodes had better writing than the others, but I found myself laughing along with a lot of the script. Overall, pretty fun telltale game, and not as slow/boring as GoT and others. A lot of choppiness, a lot of autosaving. A lot of pausing altogether, but the final episode was truly fun to play and worth the trip. Glad I got to own it before telltale games disappear...

Just got the game 1-14-22 anf was able to download episodes 2 thru 5 for free. Loaded the game, went to season pass on game menu, it stayed "Season pass purchase successful" and then went back to main menu then to Episodes. And downloaded each on individually.

It’s a shame that the company went under because this game was so fun to play. I look forward to the sequel which will never be released

Fun and unique versions of the characters from those movies we all like, with a little more story and some fun choice elements along the way. Worth it for the story, the gameplay at least keeps you engaged.
