Great Product for Cleaning Saw Blades!
I often get behind in cleaning table saw blades and router bits. But I recently did my annual shop maintenance and cleaning, and I used this product to clean pitch and resin off of a few blades, including the original SawStop blade that is now 10+ years old. I was about to retire this blade because I noticed it struggling a bit while ripping hard maple. Out of curiosity, I thought that I'd give it one last cleaning and see how it cut. Surprisingly, the blade ripped the 8/4 maple with no noticeable slowing. It definitely takes time to hit every tooth on a blade individually on all sides to remove the pitch, but the results are noticeable! Great product!

This stuff works
Despite many reviewers stating the CMT Formula 2050 Blade and Bit Cleaner does not work, it actually does as described by the manufacturer and all the positive reviews. How well / fast it works depends on how grimey your blade is before you clean it. I have used this product on two different blades so far. One blade cleaned up pretty quickly with the teeth cleaned and the body fairly shiny. The second blade took a lot more attention and soaking overnight. It still cleaned up fairly well, teeth cleaned and the body not as shiny as the previous blade.Don’t expect this product to turn your old blade into a shiny new blade. This is not what this is for. It is a cleaner, not a polisher. To be fair, I have not tried using dish detergent as some have claimed in their frustration works just as well as the CMT Formula 2050 Blade and Bit Cleaner. I think I will try a certain dish cleaner on my next blade as an experiment just to compare the results

Yep. You finally found it. This is it. Worth the $$$, the search is over...
OMG why did nobody put me up on this product years ago? No excuses! This stuff is amazing. I literally can’t wait to find the gummiest, nastiest rosin-saturated fatwood to dirty up blades and bits just to watch this stuff work. Will use this stuff on everything now, even chainsaw blades. I even use it to clean my axes. (If you own any axes like Gränsfors Bruk or Hults Bruk or Wetterlings or Helko Werk, I believe they deserve a cleaner that is on this level. And this is the only cleaner on this level. My silky Big Boy has never been happier. Every time you use this stuff it’s like your blades are back to brand new again. It’s $$$. But its 100% worth the pain in the purse. This stuff is golden.Did I mention you can breath around it? And not worry about where it is going when it drips off in the shop, the garage, or in the driveway, out in the woods, field, or garden? I wouldn’t worry if it dripped right into my vegetable garden. That is how non-toxic this stuff smells. Biodegradable and non-toxic. If it gets all over you it’s not a panic situation. Who cares.I have been using CMT blades for decades. How nobody ever showed me this stuff is unimaginable. Unconscionable in fact. Do yourself a favor. Stop using those toxic cleaners that smell like hell. This stuff works a ton better anyway.Pro Hint: to use a teeny bit less of the “good stuff”, wash and rinse and dry you blades with simple green citrus scent first, to prime them and get the easy stuff gone first so that only the toughest burnt-on tars and resins and waxes remain on the blades, and then use the CMT Formula 2050. You’ll go through about 40-50% less Formula 2050, and save a teeny bit of cash with this extra step.Enjoy. Y’all owe me one by the way. Don’t forget who put you up on this stuff. Thank me later.

Works Great
I’ve been using the same blade for a long time and noticed it was taking longer and struggling more to cut things. Rather than going out and buy a new blade, purchased this to give a cleaning. Took the blade off, sprayed it with this cleaner, scrub it with a brass brush And wall blade cut much better. Definitely worth it.

Works well. No sprayer included.
I know this product works well - my first bottle ran out so I bought a second. This second bottle didn't have a sprayer so that's disappointing... had to buy a spray bottle to use it. The product picture shows a sprayer. Seems that they should provide both options... a spray bottle and a refill bottle.

Great for cleaning sanding disks & belts
I saw a hack online to use this product to recondition sanding disks & belts. IT WORKS!!! - this loosens up the wood rosin clogging my sanding disks - scrape the worst of it off with a putty knife - then wipe it down with a cloth and the sanding disk is reusable several times. I hated throwing disks out after 5 minutes of sanding something with heavy old paint or with a lot of wood sap. No more. Now I'll get a LOT more use out of each disk. And maybe I'll use it on saw blades and bits as well. I'm happy.
