Gotta try it
I have always wanted to try this type of shaving cream and so glad I did. This stuff is amazing and a LITTLE goes a long ways.I bought the brush also. I run warm to hot water on the brush to soften up the brush. Then put like a tiny dab of shaving cream on it and rub it on. I am really amazed by how smooth this shaving cream is and it smells good. Once all shaved rinse off the brush and all done, it’s truly that easy. I will buy again and will never go back to Edge shaving cream. I am supporting a local American product.

Soothing, great smelling shave.
I've been on the hunt for a great shaving cream for as long as I have been shaving, for the past 20 years. I really don't like any of the box store canned sprays. I prefer using a shaving brush, and I need a cooling aspect. I have tried and liked Art of Shaving, but don't find the value to match it's high price point. Thus far, I've Pacific Shaving Company caffeinated cream has been my staple for the past few years. Recently, they increased the price, and my local Target stopped carrying it, so I decided to explore other options. I tried a few hyphy brands from Ulta, just to be overspent and disappointed. So I found Rocky Mountain Barber (and Taylor, and Viking Revolution). While some reviewers complained of the menthol aspect of RMB, this was the exact selling point for me.The RMB shave is so soothing and cooling, that I don't end up with irritation. I can actually shave daily. The initial lather was a bit thick, tacky, and almost sticky. Blending and lathering with a tiny bit of water resolves this issue, or a perfect viscosity. The scent is great, a spicy woody scent, but not too strong or overbearing. It has a bit of that barbershop throwback smell (so I wonder what the Barbershop scent smells like in comparison). Some reviewers complained that the scent wasn't strong enough or lasted long enough, but me, this is a great thing. I don't want to have an insanely strong smell. So in short, I get a very clean, soothing shave, that smells great. As others have said, practice with your water to soap ratio to find your ideal lather.

First rank shaving cream
Shaving senior here, tried it all, went back to single blade double edge in a slim adjustable 10+ years ago. Lots of blades, soaps, creams, this one among the few to earn my 5 star rank for smoothness, easy of lathering( yes, use a brush and bowel), quantity and quality. Take time to improve your technique, you've only 1 face!

Weak on scent.
Ok shave soap, very weak on scent, not great on lather. Will stick with Taylor of old Bond Street.

Excellent quality and shave
For those who want a premium shaving cream that doesn’t cost $30, this is an excellent product. Unlike the competing products, this has a stickier consistency, which actually lifts up the facial hairs for a closer shave. You also don’t need too much product for each shave, which helps the product last longer. It has a really nice cooling scent and feel after the shave. I’ve bought other products from Rocky Mountain (shampoo, etc.) and they have all been excellent. Highly recommended.

Provides a good thick lather
I got into brush shaving a while back and was paying $$$$ too much for Art of Shaving versions of the oil and shave cream. Tried several other shave creams and soaps, besides AOS, including Lather & Wood and Van Der Hagan. AOS products usually provided richer lather, but were too pricey. This shave cream reminds me a lot of the AOS shave cream, but at a much more affordable price. Lather is rich and creamy off a brush. You don't need much. Maybe a dime size dollop. I put that on the lid and use the brush to work up a lather that I then apply to my face. There's usually enough cream to do one pass with the grain and then lather up again to go against the grain. The menthol is a nice soothing touch that I really enjoy. And the cream provides great glide for the razor. The remainder also rinses off cleanly. I'm definitely going back to this one again.
