A must have for C6 Corvette stereo/radio upgrade!!!
This was purchased due to researching the audio upgrade in a 2011 C6 Corvette with the Alpine iLX-W650 head unit. Due to the Vette parking brake on the operating performance on the Alpine iLX-W650 head unit, this chip will send a signal allowing head unit to work to its best performance without moving the park brake lever up and down numerous times. This was soldered into the Alpine iLX-W650 head unit harness and not on the Corvette parking brake wires. This is just to keep the issue pretty clear!!!

This is not a parking brake bypass!!
This shows up in the search results for a Parking Brake Bypass but the TR-4 is not the correct product for this. The PAC TR-1 is the parking brake bypass and Amazon stopped selling those.

added to aftermarket remote on for multiple audio components
It states that the green wire should be attached to low voltage speaker wire, I hoped it would work to allow remote-on wire from aftermarket pioneer head unit to turn on multiple audio components. I hooked up to amplifiers (2), an electronic crossover, and 12 volt power block with digital voltage display to blue wire and it worked (so fare so good). I never knew that a remote out wire should really only be used for one remote-on audio comp. so this is new to me, glad I found it. I made a relay but felt it was a bit wonky and possible source of noise in system.

Awesome in-line item to stop/prevent amp pop in an aftermarket stereo systemThis is now installed on my motorcycle with aftermarket amps/speakers which had that awful ramp pop!As soon as installed the amps turn on a full 2-3 seconds after the stereo preventing the POPSuper happy to have gotten this item and put it inline.

Does Not work for Parking Brake Bypass on Pioneer Stereo AVH-2550NEX
As other reviewers have noted, this product did not work to bypass the parking brake signal on a brand new Pioneer AVH-2550NEX stereo that was purchased from Crutchfield. After watching some youtube videos of the product being installed and working on a Pioneer deck i ordered it from Amazon. Unfortunately the product did not bypass the parking brake signal and so will not display DVDs. I just went with the switch option. Returned this product within the return window and Amazon gave me my money back.
