The size is great for what I need it.

The shadow box is exactly what I had expected, perfect for what I need it for. However there is an adhesive covering on the front and back of the plastic glass covering with markings so you have to remove it. The front was easy to remove as there was a piece sticking up to pull from, but the back was very difficult as there was no tab to pull from and the adhesive was under the wooden frame. Took a lot of scratching at the adhesive to get it to a point where I could pull it off however the plastic covering scratches easily.

Purchased the 4x6 sized shadow box and it was the perfect size and depth to display a plam sized painted rock for display in a shop on Mackinac Island (Michigan). A well made frame that met my expectations.

I am using this as memorial for my dog who passed away. It will hold a photo of her and a paw print.

I bought this shadowbox because I needed enough space to put a diecut design with LEDs in the back. Just during the process of putting in the designs and the LEDs, the plexiglass got a couple of scuff marks on it. I have no idea how, because it was largely laying flat on a table.The depth was perfect for the design + LEDs. There is a white spacer that makes the internal dimensions quite a bit smaller than the 4x6 (which is mentioned in the description, saying internally it's 3.5x5.5) but in many frames, that spacer is removeable. It is not removeable in this one, and for the purpose of my diecut design, I had to make the design 3.61x5.61 in order for it to fit almost perfectly without much space around the edges. If you're going to use it for similar purposes, I strongly recommend measuring for yourself.There's a white backing card as well that's fairly thick, which was perfectly for mounting the LEDs to, so that was great. Overall, it served the purpose I bought it for, but I can't rate it super highly for how delicate the plexiglass is; it'd have been nice to have a protective cover or something similar on it to prevent that from happening.Photos include LED lighted design, design without the lights on, the back of the frame with the LED power cable (it fits perfectly through the crack there - backing card had to be notched), one of several scuffs to the glass; and the quite deep side of the frame.
