Small footprint & sensors right on floor
Bought 15 & all were included successfully into Home Assistant and working fine after a few days. I like that these leak sensors touch the floor since I want to find leaks ASAP. Yes, the sensor might get damaged by water over about 1/8" deep, but I'll get notified way before the water gets that high. I'm fine with losing a $30 sensor to save hundreds or thousands. Some sensors I looked at won't sense water until the water is 1/8" or more. Too late in many cases. They have a very small footprint & easily hide behind toilets & under sinks. They seem to wakeup every 6-12 hours to update the battery status back to controller. So far, so good. If I have issues, I'll update this info.

Solid Peace of Mind at a Low Price
I'm not sure why some people are complaining about the sensor getting damaged if it gets wet. it's literally designed to detect water leaks, and it's cheap insurance compared to the cost of replacing flooring or drywall. If it gets wet and does its job, great, which is what I bought it for.Setup with Hubitat was straightforward, and it connected quickly to my Z-Wave network. It’s compact, discreet, and gives me peace of mind when I’m away from home for extended periods. I’d much rather get a notification from this little guy than come home to a surprise water damage situation. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it... especially if you want a few around the house in key areas like under sinks, near the water heater, or by the washer. Just don’t expect it to be indestructible; it’s a sensor, not a submarine. But it does its job well.Lastly, I called my homeowners insurance and they gave me a discount (albeit not much but any little bit helps).

Absolute Junk
The design of this leak sensor boggles my mind - and not in a good way. They are very low profile, which means that the electronics are almost certain to get wet with even a small amount of water. The case does not even seem to be water resistant. Really? They also go through batteries fast if they detect water. I have gone through 2 batteries in less than a month on a sensor that detected water. It seems like as soon as it detected water it starts eating the battery.

Works as it is supposed to
This sensor has worked perfectly for me. I have found a work around for the criticism that water makes the unit die. I placed mine on a paper towel folded once in each direction so that the sensor is resting on 4 layers of the paper towel. The paper towel wicks water up to the bottom of the sensor allowing the leak to be detected without the the sensor being inundated and damaged. Mine is setup to alarm if for a small leak, but if used in a place with potentially large amount of water I'd place it on an absorbent sponge to accomplish the same thing.

Worked for a while, then died
It worked fine initially (with Indigodomo) but then stopped responding after roughly a year. New batteries didn't fix it. Not good, when water egress can mean disaster.

EASY setup, tiny footprint!
Our dishwasher leaked & caused damage to our floor & the ceiling in the unit below us, so adding a water sensor was an obvious necessity. The Zooz device was FAST & Simple to include to my SmartThings system. Testing was incredibly fast - I just placed the device on a wet paper towel and received an instantaneous notification on my phone (so did my son at his office!). Picking the unit up sent an instant notification that the sensor was dry. I'll be getting a few more of these!

Works well, but will die if wet for too long
These things are great. Super small and compact, and they react instantly and have never failed to alert me...But they have failed. If you don't get to the leak within a short period of time and they sit in water for too long, they are dead (or messed up).I guess the housing isn't water proof, which you'd think would be a pretty important feature on something like this.I have 10 of them around the house and they are a lifesaver, but I have had 3 of them die now after confirming a leak.If it happens in the middle of the night or while you're away, and you don't get to it to try it off, it will either completely stop working, or just go wonky and start triggering randomly and will need to be replaced. If they were waterproof, I'd say they were "cheap" and a heck of a deal. But they're "expensive" if they're a disposable item.Might have to switch back to the ones with an external probe for my next replacement (I'm shopping for one right now because I just went through this today).

Tiny thing, very fast response
The ZSE42 added easily to my ISY994 setup. It's a remarkably tiny thing, but my tests on a damp paper towel shows that it reacts very quickly to dampness and also signals dryness quickly. Like all these self-contained sensors, the ZSE42 is not designed to be flooded or immersed in water. I will be using it to trigger a whole-house water shutoff. The coin cell battery is said to last about a year. It reports its battery level and can send a signal when the level falls below a certain point, though I haven't yet figured out how to detect that. There is also a periodic "heartbeat" signal to indicate that it's still active.
