Yummy!
I was making Ramen a lot and decided to try this for making the broth. However, then I went on a diet and stopped making Ramen. I finally had the chance to use the Umami seasoning in a slow cooker beef stew that we made yesterday and it was absolutely delicious. The recipe we were following called for French onion soup mix, which we didn't have, but the Umami seasoning was a terrific alternative. I'm excited to use it in more recipes now. I really like the Olde Thompson brand too. The Everything Bagel seasoning is another favorite of mine.

We really love this stuff
I'm so glad I tried this seasoning. It tastes good in homemade clam chowder and chicken soup/broth. Good on steaks and eggs. So far it's worked on every savory dish I've tried it on and it's now in the place of honor with the butter and the salt on the counter.I've found to try a small amount on something new before committing. It tastes better on some things if you're not heavy handed. It'll bring something special to the party without overwhelming the dish. Like adding salt to cake batter. It needs it, but you don't want salty cake batter.But on the chicken soup and broth, I go crazy. Same for meats. I really love that it goes with other seasonings and does play well with others. Pepper, thyme, rosemary, celery seed and onion and garlic powders all get to shine and the umami just adds to the flavor.I'm absolutely in love.

This is a great seasoning. It adds the flavor of porcini mushrooms. I use it on both poultry and beef/

Good flavor
I like this seasoning because it has good flavor and I love mushrooms. It does have a little peppery flavor so just add a little at a time so if you don’t like a lot of pepper, you won’t be overpowered by it.

Flavortown, baby!
Quoting the blonde spiky haired, food chef/host, Flavor-Town Baby! I bought this when it was on-sale on a whim when I heard others talking about it and I was pleasantly surprised. I use it on my eggs, veggies, and chicken. It adds depth and lots of that earthly, salty, umami flavor to most things that are "boring."
