Functional but sliding mechanism is bad
This keyboard tray gets the job done, but it's not perfect. The tray itself is sturdy enough and a good size for my keyboard and mouse. However, the sliding mechanism is kind of sticky. It doesn't pull out smoothly and sometimes gets jammed. I'm hoping it might loosen up over time with use. Overall, it's okay for the price.

Sturdy and does what it says !
It was easy to install and arrived on time . The slide mechanism works well for me contrary to reviews . Just follow instructions on how to use and install to the T . You need a deep and wide desk if you don’t want it jutting out .I needed an ergonomic work station and I wasn’t ready to give up my good looking desk for the typical sit/stand desk. This lowers the keyboard height for me and I love it.

Some product improvement thoughts
Needed a way to lower my typing area as i'm on Ikea countertops in my office garage, 37" off the floor is bad for arms/wrists. So this lets me type at a more natural level. However, while it's helpful in moving the keyboard down - there's issues.1) it wobbles while typing - not sturdy enough, need the adjustment lever to actually lock it in place so that there's no bouncing.2) The sticker with manufactures information should go on the bottom, I spent 10 minutes with solvent removing layer after layer of manufacture details from the display side3) The instructions should provide two install paths, first the instructions they give you will have the board a few inches out from under the counter all the time, there should be instructions to go back so that the keyboard support is flush with the counter - for this I went a bit further and my keyboard is now able to hide ~4" further than the edge of the surface, but would rather have had it flush - just used the template, connected the mount one hole back and then drilled holes for the new location at the far back.4) Warn customers of potential finger damage when first playing with moving the sliding section...

Great Addition to Clear Up Desk Space
I picked up this tray for my work desk so I could free up some space on an already narrow desk that I have to fit a laptop, docking station, and 2 monitors. If I have one piece of advice it is to assemble and test fit to make sure you are in the right spot that works for you. There are no measurements or guides on how far back to affix the main bracket to the desk. I went about 1 inch back from the edge of the desk to the edge of the bracket and it was not enough to get the try fully under the desk when tucked away. I would have needed to to about another 3-4 inches back but that would have left the keyboard and tray partially under the desk when extended. Basically test fit like I said so you can find the spot that works for you. I'm OK with it sticking out from under the desk a little but you might not be.Same as many others I removed the stop screws and the slide in order to mount the bracket since I was working solo. No reason to complain about it since the directions clearly state 'HEAVY' on that step and suggest 2 people. As others have also expressed, there is some wobble while typing. Not enough to effect typing at all. Again, if you can live with it this is still a great product. Short of welding it in place, there is nothing you can do and not one tray I can think of that would not wobble. This one could possibly be reduced if the slide was an actual track and not just a plastic bushing in a metal channel but then your are talking major cost increase. Some guidance in the directions on where to optimally place the bracket from the edge of the desk so you can tuck it away and extend it out efficiently would have made this a 5 star.

Could be better, missing instructions
First thing I noticed when I unboxed this thing is that there were no instructions or paperwork at all. I looked here on the Amazon product page and found an install pdf, but they mentioned a template to use for marking the holes, but there was also no template. So I had to use the mounting plate itself as a template, which is not a big deal except that there is the heavy sliding attachment that makes that a little unwieldy to do upside down. If you unscrew 2 of the slide stops on the plate, you can pull the slide off and it's much more manageable to mark the holes and mount the plate.I'm using the shelf now and there are a few things that trouble me about it. One is the edge around the bottom is sharp, not in any way that would cut you, but is very uncomfortable and might cause irritation if you touch it or your legs graze against it.Second thing is that it's wobbly. Since the keyboard is shifted to the left to fit the mouse on the other side, there is a moment arm on the left side while typing. I can feel the shelf roll in that direction and bounce as my fingers hit the keys. Hopefully as long as the locking mechanism holds over time, there won't be an issue with the bouncing motion causing it to let go and cause the shelf to drop down unexpectedly. Long story short (I know, "too late!"), it doesn't feel very stable. Since it's one of the cheapest sliding keyboard shelves I found and made in China, I'm sure the quality control is not great.Lastly, the adhesive wrist pad feels like junk. It's not a gel pad like my good 3M one, but rather a flexible inner structure covered by a thin rubbery substance. So it has weird support pressure lines that feel uncomfortable. About all it is good for is acting like a railing to keep the keyboard from sliding off. I put my 3M gel pad in between it and the keyboard to I have good support, but this setup takes a lot more space on the shelf and might not work for someone with a much larger multifunction or ergonomic keyboard. All in all, it's usable but not great. If I knew the more expensive shelves worked better, were more stable, comfortable, etc, I probably would have spent the extra money on one of them instead.
