Pattern Design: Fundamentals: Construction and Pattern Making for Fashion Design

I grew up learning to sew by watching my mom. So I found this to be very simple. But it is useful. It discusses all the basics for making patterns.

It's a great book for very beginners / starters in pattern design. It has a gradual evolution, from the simple notions to the more complex, with excercises helping you to understand the practical fundamentals, which is great. I learned a lot of basics. Thank you! :)

I want to return this book,not up to the standard

This book is awesome for beginners. While it doesn't teach you how to draft a pattern, it does show you how to do simple design elements (dart manipulation or how to do tucks or gathers) as well as the basics of sewing (facings, collars, etc). It gives some step by step instructions and it can really help anyone who's getting into sewing.

Excellent explanations. Easy to follow instructions and diagrams. Very useful.
